All I can say is...... 2 things works to Walmart's advantage in this situation-

1. They changed their return policy and no longer take back broken junk....
2. Most AR's owners don't shot their rifles enough

I hit the local gun show last weekend and checked out the (hugely overpriced) offerings available there, then went back to my local gun shop and picked up a Bushy E2E used but unfired- still in the box for under $700. Sold one of my AK's to get it so you can see which way I'm leaning.....

AK can be had cheaper in my experience I have seen them for 375 used several times. Cheapest I have ever seen an AR is 525. I am a college student. Budget tight and ammo is cheapish as are the guns. My 2 cents.
