Watch for the people in white suits to start having the self contains breathing apparatus under the white suits. When you see that, it may have gone airborne.

There is a program on it right now on Coast to Coast. According to Matt Stein, (I know nothing about him) the epidemic is now increasing logarithmically in Africa. He said we're not getting all the information, and that this thing is going to decimate the continent. When asked about the possibility that it will come here, he said it was almost guaranteed. A lot of the people who are dying from the illness are doctors and nurses. i.e. people who are supposed to know how to protect themselves. He said if we had jumped in two months ago, we could have contained this, but now it's going to take Herculean efforts and a LOT of money. In other words, don't expect it to be contained any time soon. I was listening, and wondering, could this one be it?

Just read an article yesterday that says the doubling rate of victims from Ebola is between 2-4 weeks depending on country. So far Liberia has a doubling rate of 23.6 days. Sierra Leone doubles in 30.2 days and guinea doubles in 15.7 days. Just these three countries will have over 20,000 cases by November 2 according to this study. The true case load including suspected cases and undetected cases will be higher.
Hospital bed numbers are 610 in those three countries and there were 995 confirmed cases from 9/8 to 9/14 alone. It's spreading so fast that they don't have enough beds. Which to me means the spread will be harder to control as more sick people will be in the community as they can't get into hospital.
They aren't sure of exact numbers as many cases are felt to be unreported.
Only 18% of Ebola patients in Liberia are in hospitals. Victims are infecting family members, neighbors and others....
Math doesn't lie...it's exponential time.

Two government contracts were completed this month, sending the body bags to Liberia from a Florida company's warehouse. Obama will visit the CDC on Tuesday to announce new U.S. aid.

I was at a little meeting at a large port city and had ebola on my mind.
a doctor with lots of experience in related areas was there.
finally I had opportunity to speak with doc and it went something like..
"what if" ebola came into u.s. through some of the ships here? or some other method?
how prepared are we? etc...?
doc was very confident that the u.s. medical system would be able to deal with ebola and basically
I didn't have much to worry about. it was straight out of the pc brochure.. I thanked the doc and let doc know that
I felt better knowing that all was o.k.
doc then got real serious and told me what really concerned doc was
the muslim haj (sp?) the big trip to mecca that muslims take..
huge numbers of muslims from around the world go to mecca to make their pilgrimage..
what if a few ebola cases got to mecca and in the middle of the crowds the virus got loose.
then all those pilgrims started heading back to their homelands (including the u.s.)
the travel, the flights, the airports, the diverse cities, poor muslims, high muslims, etc...
-- doc described how a huge increase of infected carriers would result...
doc's story then continued with the progression that could occur.
I hadn't thought about that big muslim gathering.
I need to go find out when that occurs.
something to watch.

With patient '0' dying in Dallas and a deputy that entered the infected apartment being tested for Ebola, has anyone. Ratheted up the last couple of days? We're getting a plan in place to quarantine the family. Thoughts now with new developments?אני אעמוד עם ישו וישראל

I write down shopping lists anyways but use a large sheet of paper and only keep it partially folded. I've been putting the paper up to my face just above the nose like I'm thinking about something on the list when someone walks close by. Yes it's a half arse deal but AT THIS JUNCTURE OF TIME, being out with a face mask on isn't a good option for most. And besides the crappy like paper masks aren't much different LOL
Sounds gross but stop using public bathrooms. It's easy to see this become airborne and they may announce that at any time. But the official line is that it's a transfer hazard from liquid. You get a little "splatter" on shoes, back on your skin, etc. sometimes using public bathrooms. That splatter back could be contaminated. Pee jug in the vehicle is a better choice IMO. If it's a trip and you want a soda, bottle of water, etc. BRING IT FROM HOME. Think about it, you pull that cold drink that's sweating (liquid) out of the cooler that anyone/everyone touches stuff in...
If you haven't been using one of the little paper towels to hold the gas pump when you pump gas, do so. Ditto for punching the little numbers on the pump terminal. If your still eating out then make sure you use a napkin to pick up the salt/pepper shakers, any sauces, etc. Again, it's a transfer hazard. Current term is "fomites" I believe.
Start AVOIDING HANDSHAKES and keeping 10 feet or more distance when talking to people. Turn your face slightly when talking to someone.
These things sound goofy, but if you have to still be out in public, they add a little protection to what your doing.
Once/IF this goes airborne, all bets off- chain the gate, put up the "STAY BACK 30 YARDS" sign and go into FULL quarantine mode.
And of course you should be already starting your "Dear old Aunt Sally is sick and I may have to take some time off work to go and see here" story up at work. Just start talking about it and lay the groundwork with your boss. Remember we are survivalists, so we aren't blowing our vacation time on disney trips, we are stocking that back for just such a situation.
And finally, understand that certain prep items like gas masks, protective suits , etc. are moving quick. We've also seen a big uptick in NV, thermal, perimeter alarms. I'm guessing this is a lot of "get it while you can" ordering. To be truthful, I'm doing the same right now on a personal level- ordering backups for water pumps, parts for the genset, etc. For me, personally, it's the time to do that.

Is God laughing at Amerika's pride?
Seems like all we hear is how "we can handle this", "This isn't dirty Afrika" "our protective equipment is better"
There is that pride, the first sin. "This won't affect us" "we can handle this".
And you can't sit on the truth that long- we are seeing that the BS little paper masks and suits are probably not doing anything.Boris- "He's famous, has picture on three dollar bill!"
Rocky- "Wow! I've never even seen a three dollar bill!"
Boris- "Is it my fault you're poor?"

Directly from the article..........
"Q: How else could infection have happened?
A: Some of the garb the health worker takes off might brush against a surface and contaminate it. New data suggest that even tiny droplets of a patient’s body fluids can contain the virus, Maki said.
“I can have on the suit and be very careful, but I can pick up some secretions or body fluids on a surface” and spread it that way, he said."
so contact with the actual patient is NOT necessary. You can get the virus by touching something the patient touched or from the droplets expelled during sneezing, coughing or if aerosolized breathing. We exhale 1-2 quarts of moisture each day. Factor in sweat and the amount of body fluid we dump into our surroundings is pretty significant..

Some interesting info about how to MEDICALLY protect you from Ebola using natural herbs and tinctures...
How Ebola kills you: It is NOT the virus...
The most extreme immune attack is the "cytokine storm." Bird and swine flu revisited, as this is what made them deadly as well.

Some great info in a very compact summary!
So add some Elderberry and other herbs to your ebola preps...
