mom- canning supplies, good wicking hiking socks, opening-assisted folding knife, mini-multi tool

Pre Christmas -- Finally got first aid kits put together for both our vehicles, sure they will be continuous reviewed, updated and added to. Also finally got a 5kW generator at a price I liked. Elittle, the flash lights were from Costco, they are "Eco-Lite Always Charged & Ready". There are two. The flashlight sits in a base that plugs into the wall and the bottom of the base works as a nightlight. They were about $20 I think.

As for opening presents early, we did this year because my parents who were visiting needed to drive home today as my mom was not feeling well. My dad wanted to make sure they were home today so he could take her to the doctor tomorrow.

        Merry Christmas everyone!

All I've gotten is a replacement for my ACL. They took some ligaments from my hamstring, cut out the old ACL and installed the newly fabricated replacement, and secured it with pins and anchors to the tibia and femur. That has made it difficult to get around to getting anything else for a while. But supposedly, I'll be able to walk again in about 3 months, so I figure being able to walk is a pretty important component of being prepared, and I'm hoping it all goes well in physical therapy. I should probably use this opportunity to get the reloading equipment I've been wanting, and get familiar with using it. Merry Christmas folks.

Which solar battery charger are you guys running? Please post a review when you have time.

I thought about just getting say a 30-40 watt panel, hook it to 12 volt smart charger, and see what happens. The reviews I have seen are that it takes forever to charge batteries and nearly impossible to charge the 9 volt batteries with the small chargers available from Amazon.

Not a gift in the physical sense, but I am learning basic household repairs from my father. Something I should have done a long time ago, but finally getting the opportunity to get some things done that I should have learned a long time ago.

So knowledge is my Christmas gift. That and being with my family.
