    Marathon on today on AMC channel...if these Falcons stink it up I will flip the channel.

    I never saw this show when it was on because I cant stand this whole resurgence of Zombies, Werewolfs, and Vampires....but

    I got the whole 1st season last week and after the 1st episode I was hooked. So much can be learned from this show. I look forward to watching the season 2 premiere tonight.

    And its cool that this was filmed just up the road from me....

    Any movie at least partially made in a rock quarry HAS to be good LOL

      Ya know, I am still trying to figure out where that rock quarry is. I have been all over the metro area and have never seen this quarry, or was the city " CGI'd" in the background? Ya know, in the downtown Atlanta scenes, those arent zombies, those are just the regulars that are down there...lol

      I think its cool that they filmed for an entire week up on Hwy20 where it dead ends in the Atl Motor Speedway. You will see the scenes where it is one huge traffic jam.......I know some of the zombie extras and its sad to say in a SHTF scenario they would play their roles!!!

          It would be hilarious if they filmed this season with the Wall Street protesters in the background...

            Zombies don't make those stupid hand gestures and repeat themselves though.

            Protesters= next year's real zombies.

                Yes they did Red, its funny because the games I have watched this year we have lost, so I opted to watch this marathon today and we pulled it out.

                After watching this all day, the wife is hooked. And asking PAW questions........muhahahahahahahahah

                  Went to the atlanta game sunday. This is the wife and I surrounded in a sea of falcon fans. The ride down we talked about the walking dead, and coming home last night we were booking it so we could watch it. Sucks they took a regular 1hr show and put so many commercials in it so it would be 1.5 hours.

                    If you missed the first season and have Netflix you can watch it all on there. Good show. Not sure that I would agree that you can learn a lot from it though. Haven't seen them really build anything or do anything survival-ish. I guess it might teach you to pay attention to your enemies and learn their ways.

                      It has some relevance with PAW living with no grid. But, yes the zombies make it "not real". With so much going on, I guess it hasn't got to the survival-ish. I read the plot from the comics and it comes later in the series. I am also glad that it has not got out of hand with its weaponry. Usually you see people in these movies with fully automatic zombie blasters but this seems pretty "realistic" in a sense.

                      During a zombie apocalypse, you can just stay in your house. Just surround your house with Treadmills.....:P

                        the thing i learned from the first lesson is to not go charging around on a horse in a city that used to have hundreds of thousands of people in it....duh

                        oh and get eyes in the back of your head... lol

                          We bought the first season on DVD after my brother told me all about it. He's gotten in zombie flicks and gardening, raising pigs, etc. since the economy went in the toilet.

                          I like to think of it like this- the people still alive in the cities are survivalists or "preppers", the zombies are the people that did not prepare. If you think about it, sooner or later every one of them COULD become your enemy. Key word there of course is COULD.

                          Cities = more "zombies" around
                          Country= less "zombies" around

                            From a learning tool stand point these type of Fictions seem to have great value in getting one thinking. For example last nights eposide they used tracking (in a non-hunting scenrio). Now I wonder how long it would take to learn (and practice) tracking. And durning the eposide they were stuck on an Interstate with a broken RV... Why would you not be looking for an "Upgrade" to that vechile?
