I have been looking at some of this show with a lot of laughter. Granted it does have some decent ideas and all, but I think what they are going for is civility during and after a SHTF or ZHTF... (you don't want the masses figuring they can act like hoodlums during a pre-SHTF event, that would cause a lot of chaos, although there will be a lot of chaos during SHTF. Think back to the whole "fire" issue with Beavis and Butthead. We don't need a whole bunch of idiots trying this stuff and thinking that they can blame the show for the way they act- IMHO)
Not that I am saying civility is a bad thing, but several months after a PAW event, civility is going to be hard pressed to find. I give the lawman props for trying to hold up what is left of the law in his mind, but eventually I think people would wise up and figure out that being on your own, means thinking on your own.
Either way, we all know how we would react. For them to not go to a auto parts store and the library to figure out how to fix the part, I find that exceptionally difficult to swallow. There has to be some socket sets, wrenches and duct tape somewhere.
