From the back edge by the blueberry bushes we planted..

my son kev helping me pickup discarded tools after a day of planting

My spinach patch is the long narrow one on the left.

First bit of transplants going in, Tomatoes, Tam Jalapaneos, and Brussel sprouts...
If it quits raining I'll have the rest of it planted, and get my squash and cukes going on the hill out back. Still have lots of pole beans to go in also... It isn't quite warm enough to go full tilt but I am rolling the dice on frost damage..

http://vurl.me/BGZI link to my latest set of Garden pics!
        PS,
Let me just say that I love cayenne peppers. i planted one back in September, and cared for it over winter. I thought it was never going to grow. The plant in that post is that same plant!
Once I set it outside I pinched buds for a couple of weeks to get it to grow. I think that was a wise move :D

Raised Bed Garden - Cotton Burr Compost, Rice Hulls (Parboiled), and Peat Moss.

Sprinklers rain down on my garden. The plants at the bottom of the pic are green beans and down at the other end is peas and lettuce. I can't seem to get the other pics uploaded, it keeps erroring out on me.

                      Tomatoes!

I suddenly got Powdery Mildrew on my squash! I sprayed it yesterday, hope it clears up.
Squash is a real PAIN TO GROW. But I sure love eating them,

                      Lima Beans

White Acre Peas. How do I know when their ready to pick?

I was so pleased with the results, that I got 2 more from Sams!

                          I updated my blog today.

jwalk that is a real nice garden. Makes me wish I had some land. Do you get much production from planting the toms and peppers so close together? When I plant them too close together, which I usually do even though I say I won't each year, they end up growing into each other and make a mess. The plants farther apart seem to produce more and are healthier.

                          Keep the updates coming. :)

I only planted 50 tomatoes this year and spacing is between 18-24 inches. They are a little close because I had small poly covers on them earlier in the season. We had about 200lbs of toms last year that we boiled down for sauce and we still have a couple cases of quarts left so I should have plenty for the upcoming year. My intent is to grow everything in long rows to make weeding easier but we had a very rainy spring which set me back a couple weeks. The tomatoes are all heirloom grown from last years seed.

potatoes, just before I dug the up!

Having reasonable success for our first year. Cucumbers and tomatoes are splendid. Strawberries at the other end are great first thing in the morning after hoeing a row. Can't wait for the corn...
