A few summers ago he did series of "American History" vs what schools teach as "History" and it was out right insane what is taught today and even 15-20 years ago. And yes I learned alot that summer. And that is when I saw this is not just that most of policitians are stupid (many are) but... This has been engineered. We are about to go by way of Argentina and it was planed.

Yep. Nationalization here we come! Now that Obamacare has passed start keeping your eyes open for legislation, similar to what happened in Argentina a couple of years ago, being proposed to nationalize the private and public retirement system with the excuse that Wall Street is too risky a way to invest your hard earned money. Let the government do it. Both The Boss and I are 60-65. Been prepsters a long time, before Y2K. Hehe...I remember when my son was that young...
...anyhoo, Wife and I are in the 45-50 range. I was brought up "prepping," although we just thought it was normal at the time. You know, gardening, canning, raising and butchering animals, digging out a fallout shelter...the usual. Time in the military really limited things, but once out we found a nice area and got the ball rolling again. Tank, you asked, a couple of pages back, what led us into prepping. Well, never mind the end of the world scenarios, we got into it because of an oath that my father, my son and I have all taken. To us it is every bit as binding and enduring as our wedding vows. We anticipate societal and/or economic collapse precipitated intentionally or otherwise by the BHO regime.When the woman at the door screeched, "Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms!" I, naturally, assumed it was a delivery....

Both the wife and I are 31, been prepping for about a year and a half now. Have 4 small kiddos (oldest is 5) so we have lots of work to storing up for all of us. Needless to say, given our family makeup we would most likely be bugging in and defending the home unless absolutely impossible. Anybody have any insight/good suggestions for items to look for or strategies to improve the "fortification" of the home?

Well, I have been thinking about the same thing, how about sand bags under the windows and some sort of shutters over windows and doors. Maybe some tangle foot in the yard. No booby traps at least just not yet, that would depend on the problems you have at the time.
