Gov confiscation of food and guns

I have got plans for most other situations, but I just can't get a
Workable solution for the gov forcing you to turn over all your stuff because hoarding of any kind is out lawed. Hide it? Shoot them? ( there are many more of them than me ), Leave and then what--road blocks, searches I just have no good solution. I'm sure when SHTF the gov will try anything in the name of the better good. Any ideas?

i am hiding mine in various places,dont hide it all together,no doubt,there will be a confiscation both guns and food,just my thoughts

Seriously, if one doesn't get interviewed by media or blab to their neighbors about their PREPS, then how will they know what you have and if you are even worth the effort (if it gets that bad, much more serious matters will be in play for them). The raised nail always gets the hammer... Don't be a raised nail...

As for bugging out, I would hope you bugged out BEFORE troops and LE starts roadblocks and searching vehicles for "questionable" items...

Those times are NOT going to be fun and just like camping... Things will suck and good people may be taken down... No way around it... This is why most prep now, and get a BOL squared away if needed.

I don't think the 600 LEOs that may be available for searchs will be able to shake down 290 million house holds without starting a civil war, there are no trrops available, the gov has them on 260 bases around the world. personally, i just can't see the government taking anyones personal property, there would be no advantage of doing it, if things were so bad for half the people that they had to take food from the others, that would mean we'd all starve when it was gone.

I have seen drills online in America , using foriegn UN troops, to search houses for guns, ect. Look it up! Not good.

did some blog or odd forum post up the old prez orders that have been on the books for years.....or is themiac report making a comeback in some form or another ( i know JWR had similar posted last week).



you can do two things.

or draw a line.
It is up to the individual to make that choice when it is presented to him/her.
Till then, please keep the UN/LEO vs civilians talk to a minimum.

there is a major difference between "tin foil" ( yelling fire) and good intel.
someone posting in a worried fashion that the .gov can take all that youve worked hard for to give to the needy, what to do, what to do.Is not proactive. It angers people. Then we have comments of "when the blue helemts invade...what will we do.", and then someone will chime in on what to do. Then us mods and admin have to shut things down.

That is why , i said keep the "from my cold dead hands" type of replys to a min. I dont think we need that type of "talk".

Food & Guns

Thanks for the replies and the info, all good comments. Im very private about my preps, but think of the gov's actions in the past and it will give you a good idea of what they will do in the future. There is no good answer to this question and surely it is something we need to talk about and plan for, I don't agree that we should not talk about the gov, the could come from the city, stats and federal gov and yes they do take things with no authority. I just don't want to do all the prep and just have it taken. I plan to hide and more hiding and not saying a word to any one. Now guns are another story-- the gov already has all the records they need to come and pay you a visit. I'm not trying to scare anyone or make things up, just being real with real possibilities. Thanks so much for the info and thoughts.

Hide it? Yes from everyone not just anyone in particular
Shoot them? ( there are many more of them than me ),#1 you don't need to be talking about this, it's going to buy you more trouble than it's worth #2 no person can win against the sheer logistics of any organization

I think this will be the least of your fears because the people around you are going to be much worse, there have been real good examples in the past few years of who is worse. Lets take Katrina sure some elements of the gov commited atrocities and crimes and yet it was the same gov that took care of them and eventually restored order and began the rebuild. There are bad apples everywhere however desperate folks and civilian predators are much more dangerous

Preparation without unfounded fears yeilds the best results. I can say this having served a stint in the blue helmet in a far away place, they are a joke on a good days which are rare. This same kind of talk and accusations that I, who at the time was an American Soldier, was going to kick in doors and take guns and other stuff made me leave the survival community for a long time and caused me to believe I was going to have to kill a man just to leave what I originally thought was a gunclub meeting. Only recently after many years have I joined back in. People here on S&P wether I agree with them or even like them strive almost down to the person to put out facts. Facts and truth will be more than enough without hype to make someone properly prepare. This S&P community is as diverse as I have seen with age, race, geographical location and gender and I deeply respect the knowledge shared but the days of unprovable ghost reasons are gone we must stay focused on the real and not lose sight of goals for the safety and security of ourselves and our loved ones.

Luckie - you're already ****@d if the government knows about you and has a problem with you. If that is the case, disappear off their radar, pronto. Otherwise, you are at a real disadvantage from that aspect to begin with. You want to know how to prepare for dealing with that? Keep prepping and pray, and develop a real good relationship with the lord, because there isn't going to be another Independence War with the people around now a days. If so, it;s a BIG MAYBE. Figure out how to take care of your family during all the other eventualities. Know that you can stand on those principles, which make you feel there is a conflict with you and the government, and make sure you are correct. There are a lot of f#cked up people, who think crazy sh!t. You might be an idiot, in my opinion. But if you have convictions, live by them and be secure that, that is how you MUST live. If you think you are right, then accept it, and come to grips with it with your god, unless you are an EXTEME MUSLIM, and then go jump off a bridge into traffic. Sorry, that isn't correct. Whatever you are, muslim, christian, or whatever, if you want to live your life in harmony and be peaceful and respectful to everyone else, then just be glad for the days you have, and try to improve. But you should know that many of the people you are afraid or suspicious of, share similar values and you have to just hope that things won't come to that. If they do, you better not be talking about prepping for them online. Otherwise, the plan for such an overwhelming force has to be salvation. That's the best I have so far. Bill & Matt. Where did all that come from? I just asked a question and it turns into I better be careful and they are watching, your screwed, you better be right with God. Boy I was taken back by all of that...... I love God and his son, he is my savior, but what does that haft to do with my question. I was just looking for something that maybe I did not think about. I'm not hiding from anything. Never have and never will. I don't think it's unreal to talk about the role of gov. in our lives and our cities and families.
