One word for my snowy friends: SNOWMOBILE!!

notice the shovel handle in the pic?

when I was growing up in Wisconsin/Illinois, we use to have a rope loop in the back and would pull an 8' toboggan that we used as a "trailer" when hauling supplies between our house and grandma's.

I'm actually using my old bass buggy behind the 4 wheeler if it comes to that. However my dad and uncle were able to break thru so crisis avoided! We had a good discussion about preparing and the just in time methods used by the stores. Still very few eggs to be had anywhere in my state

We got all our shoveling done and now it looks like were gonna get more of the white stuff.

@Matt The wife and I went to get a little extra groceries at wally world Fri night and man was it picked over! We got the last two packages of our type of eggs they had. A lot of the shelves set empty or near empty and we talked about preparedness and that 'light bulb' has been brighter.

Thats a good deal. What we do isn't just doomsdayer stuff, it's everyday survival. I think even more so sometimes. My family discussed some stuff last night after me and my daughter went to wallie world yesterday and we discussed the first things that always disappear (milk, bread, eggs and water). They were real suprised that I had some powdered milk stored, they have been condensending in the past allowing me to do it but didnt care what I had, things look to be changing slowly. My daughter did discuss to her great dislike of dehydrated eggs, LOL, but I told her we would mostly use that for cooking and I wouldnt make her eat anymore. LOL I guess Old Soldiers will eat anything without complaint compared to teens.
