Every day carry knife location

Dang it, I am still having time out issues when hitting post. Okay, trying this again.

I am not a knife expert by any means, but am planning on taking a defensive folding knife class as soon as I can fit it in. With that said, I carry daily a Spyderco Dragonfly 2 straight edge. I chose the straight edge because the school I will be taking my knife class at has come to the conclusion that the straight edge is better only because it does not have the same tendencies to get hung up on things like a serrated or half serrated version of the knife.

Personal EDC position is subject to your body shape, your "normal" posture (some who sits down 75% of the time has to put it somewhere different than someone who stands 90% of the time), and finally any legal matters you have to face (as you mentioned).

Check your state/city/local laws, I get away with concealing my otherwise illegal knife as long as I have my CHL on my person. For some reason all lockblades and fixed knives are illegal in the major city near me, but with the CHL they classify them as dangerous weapons and the CHL gives me permisson to have them. Go figure. Stupid lawyers and even more stupid city officials...

What about in your back pants pocket. I carry my knife weak-side, back pocket when i carry my pistol. So if I need to use my knife while my pistol is drawn, I can. It works for me. Keep trying different things, you'll find what works for you.

I need some advice- I recently decided to start carrying a pocket knife. Question is where/how do i carry it? Due to my big city laws, I can not have it concealed (meaning completely inside a pocket) but I can have it clipped inside the pocket if a part of it is sticking out (the clip).

I bought a columbia river M21 clip knife and experimented with different locations.
I tried clipping it inside the front pants pocket but it becomes almost impossible to use that pocket. I tried clipping it to the belt next to the back pants pocket and ended up ripping holes in the tshirt when i sat down on the couch.

Any suggestions will be appreciated.
