    Curious. If your dangerous weapon is a firearm, then you're in the clear on this one?

      Vietnam flack vests gave limited protection to fragments, i.e. grenades etc. They are NOT bullet reistant by any means. They are not made to accept ballistic plates because those things weren't yet invented.
