Georgia Campout and meet and greet, November 16-18th 2012
Had a great campout folks, thanks for coming! Turnout was 22-25 depending on the time of the day.
Lots of good campfire talk, exchange of information. Had several good classes on canning, a small solar set up and demo, some great discussions on long range shooting and various tactics from a Scout Sniper and some basic combatives work empty hands versus knife and versus pistol.
Thanks to Leo for the great deer backstrap cooked right there at the camp, man that was good!!!
Lots of new folks this go around- about 10-12 new folks and they are a welcome addition!
Weather cooperated very well and pretty much everyone did fine with it.
Appreciate everyone attending, look forward to seeing everyone in Ocala in the spring.
Robert
Boris- "He's famous, has picture on three dollar bill!"
Rocky- "Wow! I've never even seen a three dollar bill!"
Thanks to LD3 and everyone else for the great time at the campout. It was nice meeting people from this board and the other.
Blackhawk, its nice to know you dont talk in ALL CAPS.....lol. I think it was awesome that you brought your son. Hey, 2 more wins and we are in the Nat'l Championship GO DAWGS!
Loved hearing the stories and sharing the laughs. The dude with the deer meat and the cool stove, big ups to you. The lady with the canning demo, thank you for the wisdom. The older gentlemen whom I never got this name (he had all those knives), you have some great stories and jokes. And the rest of all of you ( I am terrible with names) it was very nice to meet you and hang out. Looking forward to another one.
Fallujah and was it Mark???, good conversation last night til the wee hours, Fallujah- looking forward to hanging out/camping with ya again in the future.
LD3, glad to finally meet you and learn some moves from ya. I am sold on those NV now, man I gotta start saving for that!
By the way, NAT GEO woke me up this morning and asked why our friend had not seen Red Dawn yet........... LOL
Oh and Matt, you were there in spirit. We couldnt find any red training AR's so we had a AK LOL
AHAHHAHAHAH.....
Man, everytime I look at that pic of me and LD3 I bust out laughing. I walked up from the truck this morning with it on, I know they all got a kick out of that! Only he knew what it was about, so it was double funny to him.
You know what ol' Jack Burton always says at a time like this?

Maybe one of these days you'll go through puberty and be able to grow a killer stash :D
Experience is a cruel teacher, gives the exam first and then the lesson.

glad to hear it was a great turn out! ! i miss camping.......
I was commenting to LD, that I really missed seeing you, and your family. Chris and Gordon did not make it either. Georgia Boy, Scott and I were the only OMBC guys there.
First campout and it was great the people were great it was like meeting old freinds within 5 min. of arriving. my son enjoyed it more than anything. He loved all the storys being told around the campfire he didnt want to fall a sleep he thought he would miss something. thank you to all.
just a quick aside. Fellows, we had some really outstanding young men attend. Blackhawk's son, Leo's son and of course LD's youngun.
In a day and age where we look at the 'younger generation' and just shake our heads, it is very encouraging to see that lads of high caliber still exist, and
are learning skills, common sense and Christian kindness.
I could not have enjoyed the camp out nearly as much, without the help from these young men.
How was the camp out meet and greet? Wish we could have been there. I am in process of fazing out of my company right now so I can do more of this sort of thing. Going to work part time if at all. GB
