Lots of folks make day trips or come for a few hours to meet and greet, etc. Folks are welcome to stay as long or as little as they like.Boris- "He's famous, has picture on three dollar bill!"

classes?
here's an idea..
my bride is "putting up' some fruit these days. watching this and helping a little caused me to
think of this suggestion.
.
everyone bring a survival type food. (if you onttu) that was country talk for want to.
--
bring a sampling of a veggie you canned. explain how to can. maybe pass out a written description.
then pass out a mini sample.
or
a few pieces of dried fruit. explain how you dehydrated it. then pass out a few samples.
or
a can of spam. explain how long it will last. and pass out a sample.
or
everyone can contribute to this class. whether you live in a high rise in new york, or a tiny house in the woods.
it should only take 3-5 minutes for person.

just a tad of camping info for those that are considering it.
tents
a couple of fellas will come with nothing but a sleeping bag and a flimsy tarp. hero types.. (not me)
an ole geezer will have a 6 person tent and a big ole tarp.
2 fellas are having a competition to see who can have the most up to date expedition tent! (not me, but i'm jealous and saving up)
a couple have come with a "mansion" tent that it took 10 people an hour to set up.
pup tents (of all varieties) are common.
in other words you'll see everything.
what ever you've got will work!
cooking
some will only cook on the fire
some will cook on coleman green stoves.
some will cook on lil ole teeny tiny things that would fit in your pocket.
one ole boy brings the family grill
in the past there has been a huge metal charcoal "group sized' grill/smoker that has been used.
some ate subway sandwiches bought at the walmart in town!
whatever you've got will work!
shower/bathroom..
mighty nice block building with showers and flush toilets that work!
scenery
mighty nice grassy area overlooking a nice florida lake.
fellowship
in high supply.
firewood
no natural supply. it's all been used. bring a few sticks if you can.
come on down and join us!

Well said RR!
And folks leave with more information and training than they arrived with, and folks tend to bring barter and trade items, cash and precious metals and trade or buy various supplies there during "barter time."Boris- "He's famous, has picture on three dollar bill!"

yeah! i'm getting excited...
i know. without a doubt that i'm going to learn:
more about cooking.
especially outdoor/campfire/grill cooking
about the use of tools.
more about the why.
and more from the scriptures.
i'm thinking that fella with the gimpy knees will
have some Rock Solid verses to share!
more about what others are doing
and get motivated to better care for my family
what that computer man has to teach us
and what that farmer will share about his produce
and that medical lady will add
yeah... makes me want to go load the truck!

in a calm and knowledgeable manner that could soak into this ole head..
--
yeah.. i'm ready for another lesson.
see ya.
