Gas problem - Not what you think

I went to Sam's Club today just to check on beans and rice prices. Rice hasn't increased too much, about $6.00 per 50 lbs (!7.00 and change), but pintos are 37.00 and change for 50 lbs. Think last time I bought any (maybe 4-5 months ago They were about 25.00.

Wow! I guess I am getting my rice at the wrong Sams! It is $15 for a 50lb bag here. Just plain, long grain white rice....And the beans are cheaper at Wal-mart (I know...same place).

Prices may be going up more on the rice if the drought doesn't subside. Texas Enviormental Quality Board (think that's the name) controls water resources here. They have said the rice farmers in the coastal bend area will not get any water this year.
We have gotten a significant amount of rain lately and the drought has subsided somewhat. Just pray the rain continues.
