  • Gas problem - Not what you think

Ok so you have a whole bunch of Beans what about Beano?

I love refried beans and baked beans but they don't love me. My wife reminds me to spray the air freshner whenever we have beans.

What if you are out on guard duty and you have a gas attack? Could your flatulence give your position away before you are ready for them to know you are there?

    Hahaha... That's hilarious!
I was given the advice by an old prepper to not forget stocking up on beeno as well. Probably not the first thing a prepper thinks of!

Onions, gotta cook the snot out of them with onions. Dunno how long beano lasts, thats a real good question. Alot of "things" come up on duty, gotta get creative and not be shy bout the way they are handled. Trying to figure out how to say this. Providing you can move while on duty for gas try different positions such as what we used to refere to as the kimchi squat to make the flow easier(quieter).

I will have to try the onions and remember the kimchi squat.

Cook a large carrot with the beans. Do not eat the carrot, throw it away.

Wow! This is a very relevant thread. Last night I served the mixed beans that come as a bean soup with ham and onions. The stench coming from my husband's side of the bed was so terrible, it actually woke me up! Could it give your position away... yes! Could it drive away all but the most dedicated predator... probably. It was like his own personal biological warfare.

i figured this would get some laughs...thanks for the carrot and onion suggestions I will have my wife try this.

I do have another quandary does anyone else have snoring issues? I use nose strips and my wife is so grateful for them, however, there are times when they don't help.

Soak those gas producers in water overnite,u would be surprised at the near 100% "gasless beans",plus,by soaking overnite,it reduces actual cooking time of those ticking time bombs. Cooking energy saved in PAW would be good too

@miked2345 - fat chance of me forgetting this whole prepping thing...can't get rid of me that easily.

@BH69 - Funny thing is the beans were the canned variety so I don't know if that counts for the soaking in water recommendation.
