      I still think good quality needs to be purchased whenever possible but this is a good answer to alot of issues, no way I can afford a Berky or the other brand names listed for barter or to put in places or to store in my tornado hidy hole. Not and stay married that is:)

          Keep in mind on this filter, Once in use, filter will last 6-8 months, not years and years. So buy as many as you see fit. This is from the Co. website. http://shop.monolithic.com/pages/wat...specifications

            Thanks for your post on this. This is exactly what I was looking for. I have food preps in decent order and this was next on my list. Ordering several of these today. This site has been a Godsend.

              I built one for the storm shelter today even for less than the monolithic. I used a faucet and 2 conduit nuts and 2 local purchased hardware store washers.
