Garands just got banned :) LOL.
There are several 10 round semi milsurps that would make great choices ...garand ...Sks...svt. variations ...mas49/56 s ...fn49..... problem is avialabily and parts etc IMHO.

Like the guys who ccw always say " I don't need a knife...I haz gun..."...the tool is there but its over looked.
I don't think folks should run out and buy ten 91/30 s...but something in the back of the safe that's been tested...and proven

My tactics would never include engaging multiple personnel at 300 yards, and I really have no need to be clearing any rooms.
If I can not attack, close range, from concealment I just fade away, hopefully unseen.

SKS with stripper clips, Rem 870 express and Browning A-Bolt .308 with extra four round mag. Of course, the 10/22 and my dad's single shot .22 bolt with Leupold peep sight. That's still a tack driver!

          Since we can't have our semi-autos I will have rely on my 3 lever action rifles.....two Marlins, .22 & 30-30, and a Winchester in 45 Colt. I have two shotguns; a Remington 870 and a Mossberg 500A.

I must say I do like the idea of an Enfield in this scenario. The Brits had to qualify with the "Mad Minute". I learned to hunt Mule deer here in AZ using a Springfield 03A3 in the early 80's. I no longer have it though.

To me it seems certain that the fatalistic teachings of Mohammed and the utter degradation of women is the outstanding cause for the arrested development of the Arab. He is exactly what he was around the year 700, while we have kept on developing. Here, I think, is a text for some eloquent sermon on the virtues of Christianity." - General George S. Patton, diary, June 9, 1943.

I guess the FR8 or the Browning BLR in .308 would be called up for duty...or the SKS...or the Rossi M92 in .357 mag...heck, even a bolt action .22 mag would be a deterrent ;)

...the Nagants just give too much muzzle blast for maintaining concealment...

too old to change, and no desire to start from scratch with a new platform. I have multiples of AR rifles, plus AK, Mini 14, and others.
I have adequate stocks of magazines, parts, ammunition. I am sure that will last long beyond the time they come to get me. :)

If, for some reason, I was deprived of my AR, M14, or AK platform weapons, I would probably default to my Ruger Scout Rifles. I have a good number of 10-rd mags for them, sufficient ammo for several lifetimes, plenty of spare parts, and shoot them VERY well. It's rugged as hell design, impressively accurate, reliable, and handles very well. Some folks had feeding issues with the early polymer mags from Ruger, but I haven't really experienced the issue. I did modify a couple of mine to shift the fulcrum point for use with heavier (longer) bullets, but did not see any change at all with standard 165-168grn bullet types. Frankly, I don't think it would handicap me all that much.

What? My AR is gone? What am I gonna do with all this 5.56/.223 now?
Oh well, I guess it will have to get fed through my Mossberg MVP. Bolt action but fed from AR magazines. A decent scope and I'm good out to 300 yds. for man-sized targets. Think of it as a pint-sized scout rifle.
Other than that, I'd tend to lean toward my lever guns, or 10-22 for rimfire.
