Our IPSC group goes once a year to golden corral to eat and spends over $400 to feed the group as a Thanksgiving meal and the guys n gals usually eat there, on their own, after the monthly matches too. They had a sign posted today so they lost our business and they were openly verbal about it. Red Robin on the other hand was happy to serve us. Funny part was i didnt see anyone openly carrying, some were CCW but its the principle.

Glad to see folks stick to their guns (pardon the pun) on this issue. I didn't go inside so didn't look for a sign on the door of the Golden Corral in my area but they host a DAV fundraiser every year in their parking lot. If I think of it I'll check the next time I'm in that town. I would feel a lot more comfortable around armed citizens than unarmed. its funny that you say that. i wear a belt holster and have never had to wear a sweater or jacket to conceal it. simply upsize a shirt or throw a dickie still work shirt that buttons and its easy to conceal. but then again if you cant make a small change in wardrobe then why you even try to carry. im a small frame guy and carry a mid compact pistol with no issues by simply changing my wardrobe slitely with shirts.Originally posted by JUSTIFIED View PostI haven't had much choice since a belt holster is exposed unless I'm wearing a sweatshirt or jacket which most of the year in OK we aren't. thats typical mindset. oh they cant hurt us if we show we are armed but imo do you know them well enough to gunsling back with you? rule #7 dont play hero. "zombieland" lol. i have a small small group of people i could rely on with my life and i can assure you that if i saw another "armed citizen" in the same room as me i couldnt trust them. for example my family and i where at a local apple bees for my birthday and had an elderly women pass out due to lack of oxygen "was suppose to be on a tank and left it at home" now keep in mind that it was rather busy night there. i remember seeing several people with ems/fire dpt. shirts on and there was only one women out of give or take 60-80 people in the store attempt to help. my dad attempted to help but with injury preventing him, i had to help give cpr. the mind set of 60-80 people it came down to 3 that did something! so dont think that for a second a group of thugs or a gang wouldnt attack a place that had a bunch of "ARMED CITIZENS".Originally posted by JUSTIFIED View PostI didn't go inside so didn't look for a sign on the door of the Enid Golden Corral but they host a DAV fundraiser every year in their parking lot. My guns are all revolvers and even though I usually wear loose fitting shirts, untucked they stick out more than I like. Why would you assume I'm not training where I'm at? Though I would enjoy the group training I'm busy enough and far enough away that right now training with the group isn't possible. Gotcha. Look forward to the group if I can free myself up. Last year was a rough year in many respects. Both Maine and New Hampshire are open carry states. I have a CCP in both states and choose to keep my weapon concealed. Just as many of you have mentioned. There are so many crazy people out there that would expect you to step forward and use unnecessary power to deflate a foolish situation it just isn't worth leaving our weapons hanging out. This lady is not a wall flower fluffy female who might break a nail and cry but I'm also not about to take a chance of someone trying to grab my gun from me. Habit from past history work makes me prefer to keep my face to any door wherever I am. Being female has its advantages at the present time as many people are not accustomed to woman carrying the purses with built in holsters. Only one occassion did I put my hand inside the zipper, grasp the weapon and think.......its gona go right through the leather. Thankfully that action did not become necessary. The only other problem I have to keep in mind is living one state over from Massachusetts with the need for an occassional trip to the airport (bad place to get caught with a gun) and almost forgetting to leave my weapon in the car when entering a courthouse on business. I can't imagine being in a cinema or some other location with a nut case shooting people and not taking the son of pup out!
