I have no trouble finding my calibers of .22, 12G, .308 and .40.

Finding it isn't all that difficult. Paying for it is another matter altogether.

Just buy what you can. I see it in the stores and online still. Buy a few boxes every week or payday and you will always have some. A once a year purchase of a case, just does not make sense for me. A case a month? :)

I do buy it when I see it in the local Chinamart. But the family shoots alot every Sunday after church and when we all run 20rds each that adds up. That's why I buy my bulk from the ammo guy. He was at show couple of weeks ago with a 4x8 sign said we buy ammo.

Apparently the tricks pulled a few years ago are coming back. Smaller dealers are buying up the stuff cheap and in bulk from the larger distributors and then selling it at a mark up. Not saying your guy is, but there are more than a few that know what's coming (or already here depending on how you look at it) and are stocking up against the dry spell in ammo to sell to those that don't care about price.

There are still deals to be had out there, you just have to jump on them quick as most folks are snapping up anything right now.
