Oh, I believe you. Gold Dots are one of the best choices in the 115 gr 9mm. Still prefer the 124's though.

? for you 9mm fans, does a 9mm handgun have a stamp (like the caliber stamp on the barrel) stating it can fire +P or +P+ ammo? Wife has two XDMs (I think I have stated that previously) but I do not see anywhere on the guns themselves +P or +P+.....

Nope, those Springfields will handle them just fine as will most modern pistols. There will be a slightly noticable difference in recoil though not bothersome. The pressures are within acceptable ranges and depending on the powder mix the pressure may even be lower than the 124gr 9mm NATO cartridge. I dont recommend running them in a WW2 treasured luger or something like that though.

The NATO stuff is pretty rough on the Berettas (locking blocks) but, as Matt said, the Glock, XD, and M&P will be fine.

Seriously, for those of you who haven't read this (and there appear to be many who haven't bothered): THIS , please do and consider the information contained therein. And read it from beginning to end. Lots of interesting stuff.

I join many others in liking the Rangers. I also handload most of my own ammo and generally carry my own loads. I prefer my quality control to some factory somewhere. I'm loading XTP's over Vihtavuori powder at 1400fps (yes, +P). I don't like 147s which became the hot thing because special forces were using them and so they just MUST be the best thing ever... except SF uses them in suppressed firearms because they're sub-sonic. 127 +P+ in supersonic.
