Do you want to hear the details about my AK Spock? ;)

No, but Mossberg has a pretty nifty looking idea coming along. A little heavy at 10 lbs for a 5.56, but that's including a pretty high power scope and bipod. A bolt action that uses AR mags is a pretty nifty idea and worth looking into. At $770 MSRP with scope, base and rings, for a varmint rig/precision rifle it could be a nice addition to one's arsenal.

              • Spock, I am going to consider your silence a yes...lol.

                -WASR 10/63
Had TRG hand pick me one and ship it. It runs great.

                -Romanian Wire Folding Stock
Sturdy, rugged, will withstand use as a weapon. Makes the gun more compact for carry with discretion. Was least expensive folding stock option.

-Hogue Pistol Grip (spare batteries for the optic and weaponlight inside)
                Like the feel.

                -Kvar Lower Handguard
Has a heat shield, Provides good grip.

                -Phoenix Flash Hider
Had good reviews for proper function. Made in USA.
IMO, I feel a flash hider is important for an ICR.

                -Krebs Trigger Pin Retainer Plate
                Solved that problem.

                -XS Big Dot Sights
Not sure if these are going to remain.

                -Ultimak Gas Tube Rail
I consider this the best option when in combination with a red dot sight.

                -Aimpoint R1 w/ ARMS #31 QD
The T1/H1/R1 series is known as a quality standard in red dot sights. Optic was on sale and I just happened to have the available cash at that moment. Battery life is phenomenal ! ARMS #31 QD mount is also known as a quality mount that provides cowitness on Ultimak railed AKs. QD so I can quickly remove it if the optic becomes damaged or dirty beyond fixable with a quick wipe with my hand.

                -Fenix TK11 w/ VLTOR QD
The Fenix TK11 is a quality value and features a momentary on capable clicky tail switch and only two modes High (258 lumens) and Low (48 lumens) with excellent battery life. Very rugged. The VLTOR QD mount does not interfere with the sight picture of the iron sights.

                - Simple homemade two point sling (1.5" webbing and two triglides)
In the pic there is a VTAC that I modded to be 2 point to 1 point switchable. It's now on a 10-22.

                -Aervoe and Krylon paints.

                • Snare- you don't have a magnifier for your Aimpoint do you?

I'm trying to find out if anyone knows if the Aimpoint 3X magnifier will work with the Sig Sauer STS 81 knockoff dot sight.
I miss the magnification of my ACOG but I took it off my AK and put in on my M1A some time back.

I totally agree with you Hawkeye. In fact, I wear BDUs, have camoflauged several of my guns, use military "assault" weopons, but do not have any evil harmful intentions towards anyone. I would guess that a lot of very good preppers are using military weapons and BDUs and are not dangerous people out to harm others. Appearances mean little. There are crazy evil people who look innocent.

You are right on protus. Intent, evil intent is all that ultimately matters.

                          • Mine is a DPMS LR-308T. It gives me excellent range, MBR power, first rate accuracy, and dependable reliability. It's both more accurate and more compact than the FAL I carried previously. Quality mags are less than $20 apiece. Grandpa carried a 17lb 1918 over most of Europe. I'm a bit better than his size, the weight doesn't bother me.
