heres a link to the shot show from Arsenals booth

Most Arsenals are just a better quality AK, stronger parts, better fit, more reliable. Having said that Theres nothing wrong with the WASR or cheaper ones. They will function just as good if they were assembled correctly. I have seen some major blowouts at the range with the lesser quality AK's...havent see a better quality do that. Arsenal does have quite a few models with folding stocks, side and underfolder. But any quality AK will do..I personally like the Polish and Yugo ones. Have a friend with and Arsenal an when you brake them down, Arsenal vrs WASR you can definitely see the difference in quailty and control

Another point regarding stamped receivers: the thickness of the metal. Some are 1 mm and some are 1.5 mm. The 1.5 will come close to the milled receivers in strength and rigidity.

I have a Bulgarian AK47 with a 1.5 mm receiver. The difference between it and the 1 mm varieties is truly amazing.

And lets get this out there guys...I am not saying the AK is the bestest and baddest rifle out there....I think it all depends on what your budget allows and what you are comfortable with and shoot well...If you spent 20 years in the military and you have used the M4 platform all that time than it makes sense to have the M4 as your MBR....all I am saying here is as with any weapon system you can have good built rifles and cheap built rifles...LIke I said with me....and I am a firm believer in 2 is 1 and 1 is none....I had a limited budget and needed to outfit myself asap...I got all my weapons 2 AK's, 2 Mosins, 2 shotguns for approximately 1600.00....If I went with 2 M4's built right (and I really do like the gas piston ones way outta my range) they would have cost me about the same. I am not saying the WASR's will not go bang...seen plenty that have but like I said I have seen some serious blowouts at the range with the cheaper and thinner stamped metal recievers...its really all about budget and preference

Wait you guys actually buy prebuilt ak's when they can be built for 1/3 the cost? I don't even have to register my blank or flat built ak's. Did they paint it for you too?

I had a Polish underfolder for a awhile. Beautifully made. I just couldn't get used to the underfolding stock. I traded it away and ended up having a custom Rifle Dynamics Rommy G Ak built for me.
