Not a book but... Just Finished watching "Own The Night" DVD from Chet Womach. I liked it, not a substitute for real life training though. I have got to start thinking about night vision and IR lasers. There way down on list, but after this video... a must have. Also reminds me I need to take another No/Low light class again. Soon.

I have been reading the "Walking in the Rain" series by William Allen.
                          Walking in the Rain series

So far, really like it! I had grown weary of the "Holier than Moses" survivalists with morals stricter than a Nun, with preps that are stacked like the Nitro-Pak warehouse, and only get bigger and deeper as the story unfolds, or they take over a stocked missile silo or military base, etc... I wanted a story with grit, with hunger, with brutality, a do what you have to to survive mentality, and with a coldness that would develop from real people in a real SHTF event... A SHTF book about when the SHTF, not a Rawles-ish wet dream.

Anyways, this one is close... It has held my attention.
