I do store them and know several others who do as well. As far as which brands to stay clear of. That I can't answer

Well I noticed these two companies have what I think I'm looking for in stock. http://www.shtfsource.com/ and http://www.campingsurvival.com/fishantibiotics.html

My thoughts are it would be good for me to stock some, as that is part of my preps that is lacking. Is there a general ballpark of how many of each type (or a rough average) should be stored? I have no problem with buying them (as I feel they will be needed sometime) just that I don't want to buy to much of one or not enough of another, and would rather not waste money. Or if there are some sites that maybe good to do quick research on, that would be good too. :)

Amounts you need to store, well that's like asking how many rounds of ammo will I need to store per rifle and pistol for TSHTF. The best thing is to look up the antibiotics you're thinking of storing and find the dosage. Let's say you take antibiotic XYZ twice a day for ten days. Therefor you will need twenty pills for a course of therapy. How many courses you want to store is up to you.

As far as what types to store, well I listed what I'm storing for my fish above.

I don't generally store many items for barter. I won't barter certs in items ammo or alchohol but antibiotics are another story. TONS of good will can be purchased my making a trade to a man wih a sick child or wife. Consider it for a minute, you save my wife or son and I'll owe you huge. Antibiotics are cheap and easy to get NOW. That may not always be the case.
