I read the burn book today. I found it very informative and understandable. I did have a question on the honey. I'm not gonna have medihoney most likely but might have honey from either the store or straight form the hive so which would be better to use to dress wounds and burns?
Also how long does mupirocin last? For it to be in my preps I would need to know the shelf life.Last edited by Matt In Oklahoma; 07-18-2012, 07:38 PM.Knowledge is Power, Practiced Knowledge is Strength, Tested Knowledge is Confidence

Wound ebook review.
I thoroughly enjoyed your write up and the how to videos were excellent!! Recently my wife who is an RN, BSN (recently graduated w/ her BSN) liked the simple layout, was surprised by the use of honey in deep wounds, and also didn't realize that applying bulk bandages on top of a wound would help stop bleeding the way it is described. Where to apply pressure was also very useful and I will need to incorporate this into my training. This ebook gave us some things to talk about with regards to emergencies and first aid training that I need to brush up on. Thankfully she is also a Red Cross certified CPR trainer :)
If you are a nurse or married to one have them check out this ebook and have them develop a training plan.
We will be going over what medical supplies I have bought so far and have her prioritize our medical supply purchases.
P.S. I also sent this in an email to you."It's a trap!!!!" -- Admiral Ackbar
