    oh great now i have another project to get parts for .. i wonder if i will ever be finished doing projects ;a great way to save fuel for bad weather days

      OH MAN ! Just saw one about a month ago sitting out for trash, and the lens was sitting there exposed. :(
      I've seen Dan Rojas talk about these over at Green Power Science http://www.youtube.com/user/GREENPOWERSCIENCE

      He and his wife Denise do some great videos using these and other science projects for all sorts of cool things. They have some great builds, and I really liked their VAWT power project. The very first video I ever saw from them was one where Dan uses a table saw to cut a PERFECT CIRCLE. :D

      They got some pretty cool things that they do and build, and I reccomend them for every prepper to check out.

        Wow great tip. I like the idea of using this for melting aluminum. Sounds perfert for melting cast material!!!

                Made a smaller one from a overhead projector that had gone south from a school.

                This may be one idea also check craigslist or amazon under fresnel lens.
