Another item I found in that FarmShow publication...Concrete Fabric. Nothing new I am sure. I just wanted to bring it up for discussion and maybe give people some other ideas. This specific product is in the UK, maybe one of our UK brothers has more knowledge about it. It seems real easy in that just roll it out over the shape and spray with water, even sea water can be used just NOT sewage water.
They make shelter kits as well as rolls of this canvas. All kinds of applications, ditches for irrigation was one that I found to be very interesting.
The canvas comes in varying thicknesses, the thicker the better IMO.
Here is how the British are using it in Afghanistan to reinforce sand bag positions in FOB's. http://www.concretecanvas.co.uk/Docs...nforcement.pdf Be sure to read the test metrics.
Maybe some of our Military have seen this over there?
Maybe you don't get the hole house wrapped in it but maybe you buy a roll or two just in case. The time saved with this versus setting up block/rebar might be worth it.
