It has always amazed me that the majority of tax payers are so politically correct, that they are afraid to discuss the current "social welfare" agenda openly. Our country has long been bullied into giving away more and more of our tax dollars for ridiculous programs. I'm thinking of giving social security to drug addicts and alcoholics because they are considered 'diisabled'. Our government give food stamps out freely, and have no desire to discover fraud. Our government gives significant increases in welfare (don't know what they call it these days) to people who continue to have children. The welfare programs in the US began with Johnson's Great Society. Some of those 60's programs we indeed necessary, and I have no problem helping those truly in need. However, today we have 3 generations of people who believe they are "entitled". They base this on our shameful history of slavery, and many years of discrimination. But after 30 years of Affirmative Action, I think enough is enough.

The grand children and great grant children of those original recipients of "The Great Society" believe that those monthly government checks are theirs by right! When the checks stop flowing, regardless of the reason, there will be riots in a majority of U.S. cities. The riots in this county will make what happened in France pale.

Anyone who believes that the U.S. Congress will be able to cut these programs without major upheaval is guilty of wishful thinking. The change in congress, which I pray will happen tomorrow, will not be enough to stop the economic spiral downhill. We still have a socialist in the White House!

There is serious unrest through the country. Hard working tax payers have had enough, and the recipients of those checks want MORE and MORE.

The I want More people will go on a rampage, heck all you need is a power failure to see just have vicious some of them can be. It's like Betty Davis said in one of her movies - "fasten your seatbelts, it's going to be a bumpy ride".

monkeybird, i got one for you.

a local woman is now claiming disability because her lungs are fried...

she walks around with her portable oxygen tank everywhere she goes now...

but taxpayers now pay her for being disabled...

she brags about how she is now paid by the government for her 40+ years of smoking a pack of cigarettes a day...

      IT SICKENS ME!!!
