I've hung up on a buddy and a relative once because they broached a touchy subject...I explained in person that topics like that are a no go around me.
Wont even entertain the ideas...just not worth it.
Just like the newb tards talking about using "xy and z " in the paw for B reason online ...why make the nail easier to be hammered?

Look how its worked out for the boobs on those natgeo shows or that militia one (those Fla guys got busted for junk) ....

Who are they going to get being out there like that? I'm a marketing guy, heck even got a crappy piece of paper saying I have a degree in it LOL, but you don't always "market" directly like that.

You have to ask yourself who would they "net" (recruit, meet, etc) from that approach-

1. The person who is not who they say they are, perhaps checking out things for some gubmint agency.
2. The damn near absolute clueless types.

Honestly, you want to avoid both types.

#2 is the one that #1 typically feeds off of WHEN they can't truly find something bad going on. Remember cost justification? That means as an employee of some large organization that has a "budget" you have to prove that time spent on a project went somewhere. So WHEN they have infiltrated some m word group and simply found a bunch of out of shape burger grubbers sitting around a Shoney's beo-tching about the Fed, NWO, etc. and realize "damn not only is no one doing anything illegal, no one is doing anything PERIOD..."

Then you see what you have seen numerous times in the past- most recently with the wannabe jihadis. And that is, suddenly a #2 (newbee with a lot of heart but little sense with head WAAAY up his arse), that "the man from Uncle" fashions #2 to actually BE a bad guy.

I can remember two news articles in the last couple years wherein a young wanna be jihadi was "given explosives" by an agent that he didn't know where fake and then took him to a synagogue and then after he set the charges, they busted him. Not excusing the jihadi but the "man from Uncle" was truly the one that made the situation happen. I mean you can't go to Walmart and buy RDX after all...

If your a #2, you have to pull your head out of your ARSE about these things, PRONTO. Their is no going back, no "I didn't know". This is a serious thing, it's not internet fantasy survival fiction story playtime.

So huge big rules to live by-

1. Never EVER EVER EVER allow ANY one to mess with anything stupid anywhere near you and yours- the two big ones being specifically no homebrew stuff of the Class three type nature and definitely no expl-sives . I run from anyone even stupid enough to TALK about these things among others, sorry it's a flipping no brainer people, you just gotta STFU about this kind of thing or you'll be forever placed in the "possible F-d" category, and their is no going back from that.

On a personal note- I'm VERY VERY analytical about this. One guy I went shooting with one time had a Yugo AK. The selector on it moved to THREE positions as some of the Yugo's do. I was not aware of that and the only three position AK I had seen were legit class 3 specimens. I was reluctant to fire it once I realized it and was this close to telling the person to F off and stay the F away from me. Harsh? Wake up! YOU CANNOT TAKE ANY CHANCES ON THESE THINGS! It ended up being a totally legit gun but the guy was clueless about the third position and so was I and again, I don't take chances.

Don't even TALK about such things, ANYONE that does is suspect. Your not "impressing" anyone, quite the flipping contrary, you are outing yourself. Don't kid around about "making your gun faster" or any kind of related crap. Don't even bother with the "when the time comes I'm a gonna....." DON'T WANT TO HEAR IT, DON'T WANT TO KNOW ABOUT.

Refer them to Doctor Shutty once, after that avoid them like the plague.

Next big mark of Cain- Don't start bitc...talking/complaining about the poo poo's (LEO). OK so you dress like a thug, you have a bunch of neck tats, maybe you have "Killer" tatoo'ed on your forehead, tear drops tatoo'ed on your face whatever so be it, if you like it then whatever. But don't sit and cry about how the cops are always checking you out or messing with you. That's because of choices YOU made and the way you act largely. Filed under "not my F'in problem."

The overt racist and extremist element on any sides of the spectrum should be avoided. Much like with what we do, the serious people like this won't be out protesting on the street, they will be the ones in the shadows that actually make things happen.

Basically, abstain from even the APPEARANCE of evil, and you'll do fine.

LD3, I remember that incidence. We were all a bit worried until it was proven legit!

I go off the "avoid the appearance of evil" in ALL things of my life. Even when I am meeting with another woman for business dinner, I tell my wife where I will be, and do it at a very public place. I have tried to instill that same idea into my children....hope it sticks.
