NorK's closing Kaesong? This is a Canary!

    http://english.yonhapnews.co.kr/nati...05300315F.HTML
SEOUL, April 3 (Yonhap) -- North Korea said Wednesday it will ban South Korean workers from entering the inter-Korean industrial park in Kaesong, only allowing South Koreans now staying at the North Korean border town to return home.
This is a canary in the mine to many of the southeast asian countries in South Korea. Also, PLAN is NOT sitting idly by as we send ships into harms way: http://pjmedia.com/richardfernandez/...ng-washington/ [quote]The conventional wisdom is that China is acting to restrain North Korea, an idea which gives the Western press much comfort. But at sea Chinese forces are actually deployed to confront or disperse the USN. The Australian Broadcasting Corporation reported a

kind of has that feeling that lead up to the Cuban missile crisis. now we all wait to see who goes poop first. history always repeats it self in one form or another. between the stuff going on here, the middle east , and asia we all better have our eyes open.

I have no clue where all this will go... It has expanded outside the norms, but yet I want to think that it is just a pudgy NK leader trying to look tough to the world now that he is "Dear Leader..." Yet the provocation gets me to wonder if they really are so screwed up over there that they really DO BELIEVE they could defeat SK and the USA...

        Weird times indeed...

I am still waiting to see Syria's Assad on TV to prove that he wasn't shot to death by his Iranian guard, which would also throw all kinds of wrenches into the spokes...

ever see a person get the other guy to swing first then come out ahead because he was little mr innocent(those with younger brothers know).
nork may try that with china/russia at thier back for a power play on us. maybe not military wise but have us bent over in a way that we cant fight back and give up something to make them happy......
think of it this way..nk fire up a fake nuke.....it get shot down/intercepted etc or sk throws one back at them aka cuba. nk sends only the one...but sk with our help turns part of nk into a glass parking lot...now china and russia stand thier ground..be the peace makers but not after they , the UN and world media rakes us over the coals....china/russia sit back like hungry vultures over a wounded zebra in africa just waiting for it to lie down and die so they can feast......

Or could this be a 'Wag the Dog' kind of thing to divert our attention from the economy...both here and in the EU?

Let's see..... last time we underestimated the attitude or resolve of a bunch of little asian men it ended up with a sneak attack on a naval base.

The pieces are all just being moved around the board now, the real enemy is using NK as a proxy to slowly grind us down.

Rmpl- I hear ya! Damascus gets nuked or otherwise ceases to be the world's oldest city, that's a sure sign for me also.

Funny, I had the same feeling about this before. Not necessarily the economy, but rather the wag the dog situation. Tin foil on and everything, but I'm always looking for what's hiding in the shadows.

More specifically, what's being covered up by this latest "crisis" and exactly how is it affecting us?

I'm really mixed about this. I don't wanna underestimate littleman, the rod man friend, or was it rodman's friend always get confused and maybe there is no difference, buuuutt if it was real then the military would be gearing up and that doesn't appear to be happening unless I'm missing something. We should be at defcon 4.75 outta 5 right now rrrright? I'm saying this cause latest news report is "the missile" (one?) is on the move, armed and the green light is now given for nuke war.
dunno, stay focused on what you are doing and what needs to be done I guess.

all they need to do is pay a drug cartel to get nk dirty bombs across border. hit some major cities all at once, and with out proof nk did you couldn't blame them. they take us out from the inside using our weakness against us....open border.

I'm gonna crack open some ammo cans, dust off the survey meters and dosimeter sets this next week, and update filters in gas mask bags.

I try not to underestimate anyone.

Write your auction text now and have your excess mask, filter & decon kits ready for eBay... In 2001 the auctions ended for crazy high prices. All the stampeding sheeple need is just a wiff of possible danger...

No thanks! :) I went through the routine of plugging the phone in at 7am, be on it constantly till about 10pm, unplug, pack orders till about 3am, get a few hours sleep (with a new baby none the less, that was fun). Listening to the New Yorkers tell me either how appreciative they were (that didn't last) or asking why the gubmint didn't do this FOR THEM (I didn't have time for a classroom lesson at that point). Then of course MTV and the gubmint told sheeple that they didn't need gas masks and to stop stockpiling antibiotics and the rush stopped on a dime- DURING the Anthrax ATTACKS (11 people died for those that don't remember, it isn't a "scare" when people DIE). So I got to fight over $10K in chargebacks from lieing sheeple, mostly from NYC and then got stuck withe $30K in gas masks that I overpaid for trying to supply their needs.

When the 2nd gulf war started and a small % of those types called again to order, anyone from that region had to fax in an order confirmation.

No, I avoid the sheeple whenever possible. I'd rather a nice, slow and steady business cycle dealing with people I can relate to- SURVIVALISTS AND PREPPERS- versus dealing with crazy sheep that scream, cajole, cry.

I remember one lady from NYC literally calling about a dozen times ordering, then cancelling, then ordering again, because her "therapist" said it was irrational to protect yourself..... I really took a lot of pity on her so the first time I took the order again. 2nd time I told her no way in hell I'd take her order. She would have been an attempted chargeback.

I will say this- people especially these new preppers GREATLY UNDERESTIMATE how fast things go during a rush like that. Their is always this astonishment in people's voice when they miss something. I think some people really think they are the first to have thought about it. The thing to remember is while your "researching" for weeks, other people are ACTING. The gun/magazine/ammo rush should be a wake up call in that regard.....

Wow Lowdown3, that is sad to read, but it seems your direct internet storefront differs from my experience with eBay... My experience is only with two events I can recall for sure, one after Sept. 11th and the other after the Japanese earthquake took out the nuke plant there, where I put up excess products I bought before the event when prices were good or deals were found. I had zero PayPal chargebacks or "item not as described" claims... Nothing was returned, even after prices went back down to SLIGHTLY HIGH from INSANE HIGH... I had IOSAT auctions ending at over $200 after the nuke plant problem, and M291 decon kits and filters after 9/11 ending over $100... All with no returns or refunds. And this was all open auctions... The demand by people bid it up that high.

But my risk was small as it was not like I had a huge inventory or anything... Just items I deemed as EXTRA that I could let go of... Speaking of that, I have seen a few people on eBay trying to sell their recently expired or soon to expire M95 filters on eBay... Trying to get full retail too... LOL!

Personally, most of my M95 filters expired in 2012 with some in 2014, and I plan on using them if such a terrible event were to put those preps into play for year s to come... But I am glad to see a few NEW M95's hit the market...
