    Just came from one of our larger sporting goods stores here in New Hampshire. (Dicks) They have pulled all of their assault guns from display out of repsect for the murders in Conneticutt. Wonder if they will be going back up? No one in the store seemed to know.

    Nope. Walmart, Dicks, and Cheaperthandirt have all pulled their guns. Walmart specifically said assault weapons, but I can only assume that it will be all of them before it is over. Wonder who is next. I also saw that a private equity firm pulled their stake of stock in bushmaster.

      I would suggest you take your business elsewhere.
      I haven't been in a Walmart in at least 5 years, never been in a Dicks.
      I buy my guns and ammo from the locally owned and operated Ace Hardware in the next town down the line.

            I heard pmags on cheaper than dirt went up to $60 today. Haven't been on the comp yet to see.

                I understand Dicks and Wally World pulling them as they sell stuff to the "sheeple soccer mom" who would likely take their money somewhere else. But wonder why CTD? They cater to the gun enthusiast. :confused:

                      I would like someone to describe what an assault weapon is. My understanding is that there is no such animal and it was an anti-2nd amendment lib congressman who coined the phrase in 1992 while writing legislation to ban certain guns. He was looking for a catchy phrase to make them sound eeeeeevil and came up with "assault weapons".

                      Cerberis the equity firm that pulled it's financial support from Bushmaster is owned by one of George Soros's little shadow companies. It took me considerable research to find that out a couple of years ago while studying another gun related issue.

                        I bought 1000 rnds of ammo two weeks ago. It was $500. Today, it is $700. I agree. This ones gonna get ugly.

                          Confirmed. And $900 for a thousand rounds of bulk surplus 5.56. $20 for a box of 20 PMC Bronze (typically a case goes for around $300).

                          They jacked up the prices way up to absurd levels and after a public outcry, came back down. Still not anywhere near what people are willing to pay in my opinion.

                            I just walked in the door last night with 1000 rounds of 556 last night I got from academy sports. 400$. But there were people there trying to buy guns and the FBI was nt approving any of them. Clerk said they had not approved any of the sales all day.

                              The local shop here also had a list of guys waiting. They would call and get message saying call back later. They had 7someone AR on Monday morning and yesterday they were down to three all .22lr .223/5.56 7.62 x39 30-06 308 was all gone. Got talking to one of the guys walking around and he told me that he went and got a new credit card just to put guns and ammo because he didnt have the cash to get what he wanted I asked did you buy any food put to have on hand? Nope I will just go and take it when it all goes down. Just shook my head and walked away.
