To be honest, no. Too much merchandise out there. Too many owners. Besides, what, are they going to come door to door of all the millions of "legal" guns owners doors and ask for their weapons? Maybe. But not likely. I think they can try and regulate magazines. Maybe even ammo on a nationwide scale But still, not likely. Unless, the world comes to and end on that Wed after election day.

Admin1, I saw that article as well.

It looks as if the FBI may charge Zimm with a hate crime.

Seems reports are indicating that Zimm had injuries consistant with what we have heard...broken nose, lacerations to the rear of the head.

There was a Army soldier in Tampa apparently beaten by a group of four. The article says that 3 blacks and possibly a Hispanic were involved. A friend of mine said that CNN was reporting earlier today that the soldier was white. I wonder when the hate crime will be talked about on this case.

What I've noticed, at least in the case of Huffington Post (I have to look at them since AOL is my server) is how it went from originally being the "Trayvon Martin Tragedy" to the "Trayvon Martin Case."

Seems like the media is starting to back off the nonsense they started since it appears he might not have been quite as innocent as they portrayed with the biased reporting and the pictures of an angelic 13 year old. Now I'm certainly wondering if the prosecutor is starting to wonder just why she gave into the pressure and decided to charge GZ. And that's what it's looking like more and more. She had to have had the evidence of injuries in her hands before the charges were filed.

And this nonsense about a federal hate crime charge? That one will not fly as GZ went forward into the black community and rallied support for a black homeless man that was beaten by a white kid. Now, I ain't the swiftest guy in the world, but don't you have to prove beyond a reasonable doubt the "hate" portion of a crime in order for that to stick?

This case has been so misconstrued and biased it's almost unbelievable. As the saying from the movie Armageddon, "Wow, this is a Greek tragedy."

And it fits the classical definition of a tragedy. Just not the one the media wanted it to be.

Okay, I'm not an attorney and didn't play one on TV or radio, so if anyone knows the answer here let me know.

What if the FBI does charge him with a hate crime. State looses the 2nd degree murder charge. A weapon was used in the commission of the alleged hate crime. If, and it is a big if, the Feds can prove a hate crime would Zim be facing a longer prison term due to the hate crime and a weapon used? And will it be easier to "prove the hate crime" than 2nd degree murder?

If the answer is yes to the second, than that might be the plan. Why, just why are the feds involved in this situation that occurred in a small, unknown town in FL when there are many other shootings happening? It seems "they" want Zim behind bars, but why?

Patriotic, I can't answer which would be cheaper to prosecute but this case is completely stacked against the prosecution and with everyday it gets more so. Holder is so blinded by his idealogical racism and emboldened by this tyrant in chief I think he believes he's above the law. Even if they charge Zimmerman with a hate crime it would be months before it came to trial and Holder's sorry butt would be out by then....we hope. This whole case is falling apart with the preponderance of evidence and there is nothing in Zimmerman's history to show people that this could have been a hate crime, quite the opposite in fact.

I don't think they are as intent on "bringing him to justice" as they are creating chaos by stirring the racial pot. These are all Alinsky fans and, oh, do they love the chaos/shell game!

Drugs found in Trayvon's system per the autopsy report. Stippling around entrance wound, per the autopsy report indicating a close range shot. Photo's now surfacing showing/corroborating Zimmermans injuries the night of the shooting. HOA letters looking for neighborhood watch volunteers, nd listing Zimmerman as the point of contact (dispels the self appointed watch leader agenda that has been pushed). The following eye witness account.....

One resident told the investigator that he heard a commotion and when he investigated, "he witnessed a black male, wearing a dark colored "hoodie" on top of a white or Hispanic male who was yelling for help. He elaborated by stating that black male was mounted on the white or Hispanic male and throwing punches "MMA (mixed martial arts) style." He stated he yelled out to the two individuals that he was going to call the police. He then heard a "pop." He stated that after hearing the "pop," he observed the person he had previously observed on top of the other person (the black male wearing the hoodie) laid out on the grass.

And apparently still more to come.....and the prosecution knew all of this when they filed the charges. I am now 90%+ convinced, that if Zimmerman is convicted of this, then it will be a full blown behind the scenes conspiracy theory worthy event. I dont see how any sane jury could convict him of 2nd degree murder.
I'm also even more convinced than ever, if he is not convicted, there will be serious rioting/violence.

politics. its an election year and our illegitimate president is in dire straights. he's lost the middle of the road voters and is desperately trying to shore up his base as much as possible.

i seriously doubt there will be a felony conviction in state court in this matter. i don't know where the trial will be held but if Orange co can't get a conviction against that whore who murdered her little girl they aren't going to get one for this case.
