Its a doozy of an episode.
I had several thoughts on this. #1 I applaud them for doing something and trying
#2 the guy has never had anything bad happen to him because he experienced an adrenaline dump and vomited from it. I've been there but under much worse conditions. Hows he gonna react when little johnny there gets smoked off because he is openly exposed on the front porch. He will crumble
#3 The fact they they did almost fall apart shows several things too, like he isnt qualified to be teaching, they arent tight as a family first survivalist second and that neither understands that plastic and nylon webbing arent bulletproof!

        • Dunno if ya watched this or not but the guy who was reloading had a bad round in his tray. It didnt have a primer. ALWAYS check every single round for the primer. It is always the weak spot on progressive reloading because unlike the single stage press where you do everything this relies on a machine which is a mechanical device that can and will fail. Just a thought and observation and mistake I have made in the past.
$3/4 million dollars thrown at it and still nowhere near ready in all areas? hmm

Oh I'm preparing for a mega tsunami too. I live in Oklahoma on high ground. problem solved. tada
OMG I cant believe what i'm seeing, seriously this land bound okie knows more than the coasties? When there is a large wave the water is drawn into the wave and then pushed back to land so the waters they plan on using to bug out in will be sucked out to the deep to supply the tsunami. All you need to do is be river fishing when a large ship passes or watch video of other tsunamis just before they hit and watch the water disappear to know this. Something of this size would dry most rivers for miles inland and would happen with an hour or two of the event. Nothing like a van and trailer in chaos cause i'm sure everyone else wont think to leave and go inland in the most populated area of the United States and there will be plenty of roadway.

          • I think I caught part of that one your talking about in a hotel. Was this the "domineering" chubby gal concerned about some earthquake off the coast off Afrika causing havoc where she lived in like VA or something?

And seriously people, NO ONE got the memo about the cases of 8 ounce plastic bottled water? Seriously???? God I can't stand seeing that in almost everyone's setup almost as much as the 2 foot wide by 5 foot high wall locker full of short term packaging pogee bait food that they proudly pronounce as "a year of food for our family of four." You should SEE a year supply of food for a family of four, it does NOT fit in a 2'x5' space, not matter how it's packed.

I think that was the one with the guy in Florida that they first made it out like he had bought "47 acres" and moved there, and then later when he's arguing with the shelter designer (marketing push) he mentions that he's lived there (on the property) his whole life. Maybe a good false trail thrown in, maybe just the pride and ego of the dude coming out. IF they really buried that culvert shelter "20 feet down" in Florida I want to see it in a year cause I've seen...... well never mind :) I'm sure it will all work out swimmingly.

And this guy was going to be the post apoc barter town ruler. How nice. Absolutely nothing about the guy was the least bit worrisome, threatening, intimidating or made me think a couple of pre-teens I know or even a 14 year old girl in our classes couldn't climb his back and choke him to sleep while he pee'd himself senseless.

Folks, get grounded in reality. No one is going to be able to set up this big "rum and ammunition" bartertown setup without A LOT OF MUSCLE AND A LOT OF WILL.

It gets back to what I've said about barter from the beginning, - just HAVING the crap to barter with is NOT the end all be all.

Those are the only ones I've seen this season, just finding them in hotels when I've been traveling.

            • The unfinished castle. This is probably the most common issue I have encountered with "groups" and/or people and their "retreat" is that very rarely is the hidey place finished. I think most underestimate the amount of time, money and labor it takes to build a completely second life structure that can withstand many forces.Even building a primary structure, where you live, is a huge undertaking. There are literally hundreds of unfinished project places around this state even after years and tons of spare change thrown at it. Not having built one myself i can not tell you what the answer is but maybe some here can. I know LD3 has spoke on the subject of living there and the sacrifice it takes. My point is that he has spent $1million and at the end of today my normal atypical place is better off because it is livable, defensible to an extent and weather proof and my stores are up to date as i'm not eating 12yr old MRE "hoping" that they don't poison me. Feeding your family stuff you are not sure about before times get bad, seriously!?! I dont get it. You will spend a million to protect them only to kill them over $5! They left out the prize in that boys happy meal when they made him.He aint right

              Deadwood and the Castle
Why would you tell everyone about this? Why spend all the money, time and effort to just give away the secrets?
Why rely on antiquated methods that eventually failed or didn't work reliably to begin with and were replaced.

Dunno why most get all hurt feeling at the assessments. If you have stuff you didn't show then just smile, if they are right then roll with it. It's not an assault on the ego it's supposed to help you look in a direction.

And knowing the two guys that are doing the assessments and they are two of the nicest guys out there, I laugh at the grimaces and that you see people give.

I'm thinking "man, I would have said "Rob says your probably going to die of a heart attack long before the PAW due to inactivity. Or you'll shot yourself in the head after having to deal with your Jezebel wife that is constantly belittling you on the camera.."

The new little "off camera" deals where stuff is said like "Yeah Joe my husband is kind of a nut and has ADD but we placate him" is a little much.

                • Outake on the 3 this week:

                  Collapse of the AG System
Doing a lot of things right. Dunno about “interviews” at your own house as that gives up too much IMO unless maybe they already knew you and where you live. Once the core is established I think 100% must agree so interviews/meets/discussions need to happen. Dunno what the deal with asking about glasses is or prescriptions. My take on this is we are people and we all have medical issues so it is what it is. I wouldn’t disqualify them because of it; instead we have made tags for everyone so we know what is going on. Maybe I’m just not as picky and they really didn’t go into why they were asking.
I know folks want to get the message out and it’s always a risk/reward decision even as we do things on here. It sounds as though opsec is nonexistent with the radio show and community. I did like how the marine had the proper color camo for the area rather than trying to fit in with the current conflicts. They missed on the green truck and the giant white trailer though. Either go camo or blend in with normal but a mix doesn’t really work for either side.
“Go check out the bugout area before we move in”. If I’m going to check a place before I go in I’m dang sure not using the road or any other established point of travel to do this. If there are badguys there they will be setup to cover the points of access so no roads, trails etc. Also traveling back to back for a long distance over rough terrain isn’t gonna work so use the sneak n peak as Grand says. Back to back is for inside or smooth terrain over a short distance. I was impressed that he/she didn’t have to sit and discuss it they just acted quickly as a team upon receiving the order. That showed a lot so kudos to them in knowing their roles.
Ok the “stack” before breaching the house. They stacked at the door putting their back to a window and hesitated. No reason to stack on that type of residence, just breach as you approach because the round structure with a lot of windows gives them inside the advantage. Also the pat down was improper and he woulda been kicked/kneed in the face and screw prisoners at this starting point of SHTF anyway. It’s a reality if you don’t live on location that squatters, trespassers, refugees etc are gonna be there first. So prisoners, you better have a plan cause even though I’m saying screw that I couldn’t go in a smoke off children and maybe a scared mom looking for refuge. And again they acted as a team without discussion so a huge kudos to them!

                  The Big Truck
Ok I love the $75K Truck of Death but let’s get real, one rifle round in the unprotected radiator of that rig or in the large differential and game over. Wait them out and kill them as they leave in the desert heat. The top living area is not hardened and lifts like a popup camper so prone to attack in canyons or taller buildings from snipers. Wow using sand camo in a green brush environment, sweet, and who told him that NVGs and thermal can’t see camo nets!?! Love the white socks with the camo shorts look too. Why get all mad cause they said you need water for the dehydrated food stores and the statement of “everywhere we go has water within 10 miles”. 10 miles, you are gonna haul water from 10 miles in to camp on foot when the rig breaks down from being shot up after driving thru LA!?!

The Lifestyles Of The Rich N Famous
51 rooms and a view so we can show off and now I’m a prepper and all will come and love me and Kumbiya Kumbiya skipping thru the Garden of Eden with our ghost that controls me ohhwee.
My wife also pointed out a 1967 date on the stores of food from the prepper that died and left all that stuff.
Ohhh a gun, ohh bad gun, nannyism thoughts of european sheeple, yep your ready for dooooommssday there FNGs, glad you showed off your wealth on tv. If this is really what’s out there we are done and I don’t wanna be around.

                  • I like the fact that they have raised awareness And if it gets people thinking that maybe they should try to be more independant then that's great.
A couple things do worry me though, Like these people who have years of supplies are on national TV telling everyone "Here I Am, Stop by and take what you want !!...

Another concern I have is the number of them that were on preppers that have met with suspecius ends. David Sarti is one that comes to mind. If your not familiar with him search youtube for David Sarti ...WTF?

I love that more people are waking up but these people tend to forget that no matter how much stuff you have its is still a limited supply. And who can live trapped in a bunker with there inlaws for long periods anyway.

I wish folks would focus more on learning how to live from the land and with the land. All this Prepper craze is really doing is making "Wise" and Ammo Companies a Fortune..

A Good example are those stupid paracord bracelets, What a joke !! And there selling everywhere....USELESS !!
YOU MUST CONSUME ! YOU MUST CONSUME ! YOU MUST CONSUME !

Not sure why they are useless cause when I was in the Army we carried key fobs and other devices made of them alot as we are only allowed certain gear when we are on the chalk(flights) and had to meet our weight. So we distributed out smaller amounts of things like paracord among the team to make weight and not have any "unauthorized" items in our bags.
Also our supplies would get diverted a day or 2 weeks cause flyboys have "breakdowns" usually near there girlfriends country.
The bracelets came on scene later, first ones I saw were from Military Mothers who handcrafted them and that is not stupid at all. Anything a Military Mother makes from her heart and sends it is fine by me and anyone who wants it is always welcome to come try and get it cause you didnt earn it.

I now wear one for 2 reasons. one is I have cordage, enough for shelter everywhere i go and two because I remember them that are still doing what they do in the real world while keyboard commandos sharpshoot everyone else to death on the web from the safety of their computer and enjoy that ability to do so because of them that did, do and will.

That’s an ole 45ID Oklahoma National Guard truck. Who knows I mighta had a minute or 2 behind it.
He has legit concerns for sure. Feller needs a haircut lol. His thoughts on the rifraf are dead on with the first wave if threats.
Rockslide, outside the box thinking. Dunno bout the execution of the slide but he knows more bout it than I do. The rock pillboxes, he might wanna look at richochets and how they hit and fragment into the firing position. I have some thoughts on that. I think I’d leave them rocks near the road they are gonna block with a picture of how it was built to save time/fuel and effort and maybe even spray paint number them for quick set up.
Like the attitude on the evaluation of “I Will Have That Increased” and staying positive.

Legit concerns on the state of the economy. 800 mile bugout, mm no bueno that’s too far.
The flame thrower is a decent enough idea but when someone catches fire they run so a stop still needs to be in place. Maybe we need a single survivalist dating website, hmm any entrepreneurs out there!?!
I want to slap the girl for being that dumb to allow someone to blindfold them at a remote location and then go into an underground location on a first date.
So we filter our water and put it right back in the same container, hmm interesting and by interesting I mean silly.

I would normally agree but she was on TV, surrounded by a video crew. Without them, I doubt she would have agreed to that or even the second date.

                            • Been sitting quiet on this but can't anymore because i have seen something several times that bugs the snot outta me. IF YOU ARE GONNA WEAR AN NBC SUIT OF ANY KIND IT DOES YOU ABSOLUTELY NO GOOD WITHOUT GLOVES AND THE HOOD TO THE MASK.
Exposure is exposure when it comes to anything more than less than lethal chemical agents like pepper spray or CS gas. Anything else will kill you if it exposes to any part of the skin. Your hands and head DO NOT have special ninja powers to ward off radiation, blister agents, zombie virus or whatever. Unless its a LTL gas wear it all or don't wear anything and truth is the sheer burn from that will cause many to panic even without facial exposure but those folks won't be tough enough to handle the heat of the full NBC suit anyway so they are toast to begin with.

Let alone get it all on in the US Army alotted time for donning all of it :) I sucked at getting on the mask in time. Had to retest on that one several times in basic.

How much time does the Army allow now? I forgot what it was when I was in.
