Have watched the first two. They are always interesting. We get ideas from all of them.Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn't pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same, or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children and our children's children what it was once like in the United States where men were free.

Have had a conversation with one of the preppers featured in season one, and found out some interesting "stuff" about the producers of "Doomsday Preppers", and how they operate:
1. The preppers who are featured in the shows DO NOT GET PAID anything for their time.
2. The producers are always looking to "sensationalize" what these preppers are doing.
3. The producers basic "goal" is to portray the preppers as a bunch of nutcases, by twisting what they say and do, and by manipulating the film footage.
4. The preppers themselves are very sincere, and are serious about what they are doing. The producers of the show are playing a constant game of "gotcha" and consider the whole thing to be a "freak" show.Comment

Go back and read some of the early posts here related to this "show" by 1admin and Lowdown3. Said years ago they would not portray things in a good light. Only 1 or 2 of the "preppers" featured so far have been doing it for any real length of time (i.e, more than 10 years).Originally posted by PatriotFlamethrower View Post

We watched episode 3 last night and were impressed with the Mays...the ones who own the car radio shop. Rcouple had done some impressive prepping! I am not a tech savvy guy or "Mr. fix everything" but I like what this guy did with his alternative power by hooking up solar panels and a small wind turbine to power the batteries which I assume he hooked up to his breaker box?Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. we have cable but they decided to charge to see doomsday preppers this time around and they dont even tell us
