Patriots was my very first prepper story. Back when I read it online it was called "Triple Ought." It has been through several revisions and even one update. You can't go wrong here.
Welcome to Tennessee, patriot state of shootin' stuff.

Patriots, Alas Babylon, Lucifer's Hammer are all excellent books to read, plus it gives you several idea's on how/what to prep, problems you may run into, and the mental aspect of other people around you (non-prreppers). I would recommend you read all of them if you can. Lucifer's Hammer is a long book and skips around but well worth the read IMO.

One e-book I have been reading and thoroughly enjoying is "The Becoming" by Jessica Meigs...

It is a zombie novel, of which this genre is rife with poorly-written, utter garbage and not one I usually buy, but The Becoming has proven to be an unexpected exception. It is well written, excellent character development, and is able to bring the reader into the tension and suspense that has kept me up later at night reading than I should have allowed...

Just passing on a recommendation and reviving a thread with already good recommendations...
