        Good, well-thought out list...

My concern is that whatever it is will happen FAST! Some stuff within HOURS, some in DAYS and the reverberations in WEEKS... Then it will all slide downhill to whatever point one believes the endpoint will be...

I think you are right on track with your concerns. I think there is even more than you mentioned, to be worried about, although, you probably are aware of more things than you listed. One telling thing is how Biden recently said that murders and rapes would increase if we don't pass Obama's recent "jobs" bill. The logic there is that, we will cut spending on police and those types of services when we have a lack of funds. Well, as you pointed out, we have a giant lack of funds, compared to how we spend, and history shows us that military and police forces, as well as other essential services are what gets cut in such predicaments, while government welfare and stimulus programs always continue. So we have Islamist countries rapidly growing in population, and coming online with nukes, and filled with individuals who are dealing with true poverty. Meanwhile, our economy is almost all based on spending, rather than producing, and we continue to live lives of luxury compared with the poor, angry, nuclear, muslim nations, as well as the broke, angry european nations. China and India are growing big time. How long do you suppose the world is going to be satisfied with this arrangement? We keep consuming, making our population more dependent on government, growing government and government debt at an insane rate, and those in charge don't inspire much confidence to say the least. Things are getting dangerous. Things could become very interesting leading up to, and right after election. Depending on my mood, I can see a variety of very terrible situations resulting from the events between now and then. We know with certainty that the politicians have no regard for our constitution, and have an unlimited desire for more power and control of our lives. This is all a very bad combination. I think your tinfoil hat fits perfectly, and is clearly tuned in.

My concern is that we will be in a long, slow, burn and just fade away. Kinda like a frog in hot water, they just keep turning up the heat. "They" won't quit until there is nothing left to bleed out us.

I hope we are both wrong.

I believe Ridgerunner is correct. Slow is bad because not enough people get upset enough to try to Effect Change. Fast makes people get up and take notice.

On a cruise ship if you are below deck when the boat does its normal "turns" you never notice. The turn is preformed slow and nothing gets thrown around... That same ship is capable of turn much faster turns but things would get tossed around... At the end of the turn (Fast or slow) the boat will be on a new heading but one made a turn and very few (if anyone) took note of the change but the other everyone and everything was upset. Slow change for the bad is much worse that a fast change for the bad.

So, How did I do with my predictions from a year ago? (my comments in bold)
                The 15 points I made have continued and some have gotten worse. But I made some predictions in my diatribe;
                So, what is the timing?
When are the likely triggers going to happen? As far as the U.S. debt, I don’t think we will see anything “bad”, that is a collapse or hyperinflation, etc., until after the election and inauguration. (Things have progressed but held together as I predicted) Barack Hussein Obama doesn’t want the economy to appear any worse than it already is. Now, I wouldn’t be surprised to see official .gov economic numbers start to improve running up to the election. (Nailed that…although the unemployment increased today by 0.1% but he is touting the “biggest gain in employed in 8 months”. I’ll give myself that one as well.) He needs to show that what he is doing is showing a positive result. Mark my words; you will hear something like this coming from the president sometime within the next 12 months... “America, as you can see the GDP has increased X percent in the last 6 months, the stock market is making a rebound, the housing starts are showing signs of strengthening and unemployment has dropped to 8.9%. All this is telling me and my economic team that America is on a rebound. Now, we don’t want to have the republicans take over at this point and destroy all that you have sacrificed over the last four years. Remember, it was the republicans on the super committee that did not want to compromise. If we let them get back into the White House, we will see them run roughshod on all the groundwork I have laid in place. Therefore, I need you to be my army and march in the streets, knock on the doors, heck, become active at the polling places and help those that cannot get there to vote. With your help, I will be re-elected and can continue the change that I started four years ago.” (Okay, that was an easy one to predict, I know.)

As far as the election goes, I think that we will see violence/riots/marches/protests starting around the end of summer. (Well, I guess I was wrong here as I cannot remember anything happening.) These will be directed toward the other party and we will likely see it from both sides. We will see protests at campaign stops, and some will turn violent. People are going to be “ready to fight” to take back America as we once knew it, or the flip side is they will be "ready to fight" to keep America a hand-out government and the Land of Entitlements. (The election/campaign process has be bitterly negative. If I recall there has been violence directed toward both parties.) You will see escalation up until Election Day, as well as on Election Day at polling places. As before, you will see intimidation at the polling places, miscounted votes, etc. (Cannot predict if this will be a correct prediction as election day is 4 days away. Although, there have been some problems with absentee ballots not being counted in Florida, electronic voting machines counting Romney votes as Obama votes in Ohio, and North Carolina) Once the results are final, we will see violence once again. It will happen no matter who wins! If Barack Hussein Obama is defeated, than I think we will see protests up and including inauguration day. These may be even to the level of the Rodney King riots. Think about this when you are driving to work Wednesday, November 7, 2012.
(I think I will stay with my prediction on this except the date may have to change due to hurricane Sandy. We may not have all the votes in from NY or NJ by November 7th. I will be prepared for violence that day though.)
Protecting the sheep from the wolves that want them, their family, their money and full control of our Country!

Guns and gear are cool, but bandages stop the bleeding!

ATTENTION: No trees or animals were harmed in any way in the sending of this message, but a large number of electrons were really ticked off!

Not as wrong as you think. I seem to remember some Dem campaign hedquarters getting shot here in Missouri as well as reports of T-Party ralley's parking lots filled with nails. And lets not forget the threats to Romney if he wins. I think you are doing about 9.5 out of 10.

Many, if not all of us can't comprehend 47 million dollars. So I found this article that brings those numbers into perspective..and it's scary.

"An analysis by Breitbart News has found that the number of individuals on food stamps now exceeds the combined populations of 24 states and the District of Columbia.

In November, the U.S. Department of Agriculture reported that a record 47,102,780 individuals receive food stamps.

According to US. Census Bureau data, that figure exceeds the combined populations of: Alaska, Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Hawaii, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Maine, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Utah, Vermont, West Virginia, and Wyoming.

Since January 2009, the number of individuals on food stamps has skyrocketed from 31.9 million to the current record high 47.1 million. By comparison, in 1969 just 2.8 million Americans received food stamps."

Granted, they used states with low population but I don't think that takes anything away from the stark reality of what we are dealing with. Can you imagine taking a US map, laying it out, and shading out the above states? That would be the total of people on food stamps.

Pass the tipping point? I don't know but these vast numbers cannot be continued without some penalty or "great correction".

A desire changes nothing, a decision changes some thing's, but determination changes everything.

Very scary numbers. This is what we are up against folks. Zombies, in a sense.

Good grief! I hadn't thought of it in those terms. Very sobering indeed.
