Just found out our wonderful, can't do no wrong, president is coming back to my area Monday to start a bus tour to promote his jobs package. This is his 2nd time here, the first one was one of his family's many vacations. All the liberals are lining up to get a chance to kiss his butt ( I wanted to say something else, but I will keep it clean for the ladies). It would not surprise me if the clown and his family moved here after he is voted out. I hope he goes back to Chicago myself but I told the better half I would sell him our house for 2 million cash.

OK rant mode off sorry to vent to you guys

I don't want him back in my state :) Someone else can have the displeasure. We have enough corrupt people in chicago...still wish we could annex that town to its own state...IL might turn from blue to red then. We would be able to get CCW if we got rid of chicago thats for sure!!

BHO probably won't come our way anytime soon. Our state is a solid "RED" state and not considered a battle ground. We are only considered "Fly Over" country, just the way I like it.

I love Asheville Area but per capita we have more "freaks" than anywhere else. And I work with/around many of those "freaks" that still have the "hope" that Obama is going to make the "change" that they want to see. I don't understand it, how did the once greatest nation on earth turn out so many gullible and close minded people?

            Life is NOT Fair!
            Freedom is NOT Free!
There is NO such thing as a Free Lunch!

I do not understand why so many so called "americans" think that taking from the so called rich will get them a free lunch. FYI if you beleive in a free lunch you will get dependant on that lunch... and that dependance turns you into a slave.

            And one last thing:
American is not a nationality it is a mindset of Freedom, Self Reliance, Hard Work and Personal Property (ie you get to keep what you earn/make).

              Wow,

hmm wondering if the President will be making any visits to WV?? After all it is such a heavily democratic state particular to state and local elections, yet the last couple of Democratic presidential canidates have failed to win there. West Virginians are pretty smart after all especially voting for their own "interests".

Coal country up there. And with the administration's energy policies and the claims to do away with "dirty" coal as a fuel source, it's no wonder they can't win.

A buddy of mine just came back from a brewery tour in asheville about a month ago. He is a pretty wild guy and he was with a younger crew that reminds me of a mild frat party whereever they go. My buddy told me that asheville was too freaky after 10pm. even the frat boys were a little put off by the blatant libness of the place. Then when the drums started playing...it was time to head to the hotel. No wonder nobama wants to go there.

Ohh, understood and that was the same reason why Al Gore lost in 2000..

But at a more fundamental level, West Virginia is a very culturally aware state!!

WNC/AVL has a very well functioning local food movement that provides for the possibility of greater local self sufficiency.

There is also a lot of very, very skilled people with healing (both allopathic and othewise) knowledge/skills/ability and people with outdoor/wilderness primitive/plant skills.

Bear in mind there are many more true 'liberals' (in the old school definition) than meets the eye.

Someone please educate me! I thought Ashville was this beautiful place of hard working God fearing folks. Now I hear that just like Key West, the extreme liberals have taken over! Say it ain't so!!

I'm going to be there next week!

Yes these old school "hippies" around here have been living comfortable with next to no income for a very long time (and many have not been a Burden to the system either)... They have skills and knowledge at least some of the "older" ones around here do.
