  • You know it's getting bad when the Texans are worried about the ilegalls!

HIDALGO COUNTY - A woman in Hidalgo County says she is forced to barricade herself inside her home. She lives along a major route for illegal immigrants.

This woman and many others who live along major trafficking routes say they want to help those who need it. These days, they say they're just too scared.

FM 1017 is a quiet highway in western Hidalgo County. It's a major interstate for illegal immigrants. It has been this way for years. The path is the same. The people have changed.

This woman, who is too afraid to show her face or her home, has lived in the middle of the path her entire life. She used to help the people who travel the brush surrounding her house.

You don't gotta tell me brother...live in the heart of AZ...it's non stop here....and with My job I see just what the news doesn't report, all the stealing, home invasions, murders, car jackings, stolen 4x4's (they steal these alot for border crossings), identity thefts etc associated with iilegals and human smuggling.
The number 1 crime for the 1st quarter of 2011 was illegal rentry
...yes number 1 crime....people who don't live on the border don't understand how bad it is here...you know how many 16 year old kids that have there credit ruined already because an illegal stole there identity, I also do see alot of good people who just want a better life, but the fact is they need to do it legally, my ancestors had to go to Ellis Island and wait in line in the 1900's or where brought here as indentured servants in th late 1700's. We got guys stopping 10-20 trucks, vans, uhauls a night. On top of just the fact that its illegal to cross our borders without papers, documents or having the green card or citizenship papers is everything it brings with it, all the costs to American Taxpayers, medical, education, anchor babies drives me nuts. I mean I am all about the melting pot, thats whats makes this country great...but do it the right way. All the money that is funneled back into Mexico would blow your mind...ok I better stop now before I rant all night

I did a research paper for Comp I last fall about illegal immigration. I already had a pretty strong opinion about illegal immigration, but I think I even gave my liberal teacher pause. The effects of illegal immigration are staggering. I'm sure you are all aware of it, but if anyone is interested, I would share my paper. I even sent it to Senator Boozeman.

One of my good friends and my mechanic was illegal and came in the illegal way, long before I knew him. His first time across (1999) he came across in south texas, swam across the Rio Grande (in which he said there are whirpools and there are many a mexicans at the bottom of that river), he stayed in a safe house that was less than 2 miles from the border patrol and was set up (per his coyote) to be picked up by an older white couple that hid him and another one under the back seat of their ext. cab chevy truck. They went through another checkpoint and was clear to Houston. Then he made it to Atlanta 2 days later. ( he has some real funny stories about that ride, for instance, they were 15 deep in a van and one of em did #2 in their pants,(because the drivers dont stop) and they pulled off on I-10 near the swamp and threw him out the door)

He then drove back to Mexico for 2 years and came back again (2007) this time in Arizona through the desert. He said that this was the most scared he had ever been in his life because of seeing all of the dead bodies of people that died from dehydration. Before this trip, while in GA, he met some folks that took him camping and hiking and so forth. So he understood how to "make it" if he ever had to come back, which was through the desert. They stayed in an abandon warehouse with no food or water, ( he had some because he brought a damn backpacking pack full of gear and food) for 5 days until the coyote came to get them....from Phoenix back to Atlanta.

Since all of this illegal crap, in which I ripped his tail many a times, he paid a crap load of money, went through the process and became legal and now is a successful business owner. The only thing is he gets taxed way more than we do,still to this day. His wife and kids have never been on any assistance or used any of our tax dollars to support them. He is a master mechanic and earned good money while he was here. He speaks better English than most Americans( learned english from some black guys back in 99 which still to this day I dont get this), and he is a HUGE history buff on Mexican, Aztec and Mayan culture. He actually grew up less than 3 miles from the Temples of the Sun and Moon. Even though he came across the wrong way, he paid his dues and his family gets to enjoy American life. His wife, which is from here, is a soccer mamacita and drives a minivan...go figure..

But out of all of this story the part that scares me is when he said while in Mexico and while coming across the borders both times.....he said there are "other" brown people. They have different accents and some have really short shaven beards. He knew they werent spanish even though they are trying to play the part. I asked him if they were south american? He said no, middle eastern. And he is very hip to 9/11 and whats going on in the world. He said it straight up that a good bit of "them" are blending in with the Spanish and coming right on across......now that my friends ....is not good at ALL!
You know what ol' Jack Burton always says at a time like this?

There is a local hispanic guy - convicted child molester - which is why his picture is posted in the police department - anyway, I swear, you could slap a turban on that dude and he would be a dead ringer for OBL. I mentioned it to my DH (he has to deal w/ all the paperwork of registering the freaks) and he said the guy was hispanic, but american born. Too bad they couldn't share a grave.

I have nothing against hispanic people - I know and like many, some who may be illegal. I just think the "illegal" part is the problem. Illegal creates a culture of fear and makes assimilation very difficult, IMO.

And you know that our government could stop this at any time but they have chosen not to for decades now. Why do you think that is?

But all of this pales in comparison to their usefulness as voters for the Democratic party. NOTHING will get in the way of their voters!
Political Correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

Does nobody find it kind of warmly ironic that the very people who ENABLED and ENCOURAGED this illegal behavior in the first place are now the ones crying when the problem starts to affect them? I have zero sympathy for this woman, or the rancher.

Wow, what a lot of good points here. To start, the woman who used to help these folks should not be castigated. Caring for a fellow human being in time of need is never wrong. I do have sympathy for her, because her kindness has been mistaken for weakness. That is how illegals view Americans. How do I know this? I am retired law enforcement and spent many an hour interviewing illegal aliens. Not undocumented immigrants - illegal aliens. They laugh at how easy it is to obtain someone else's SSN and how easy it is to get government entitlements with their stolen identities. The hidden costs of illegal aliens is staggering. Consider this: Take one illegal man who comes into the country and then brings his wife/girlfriend. They then have two or three children. Now, the cost of educating one child is approximately $8000.00. The cost of welfare payments, subsidized housing, food stamps and free health care must be factored into this equation. Conservatively, one family can cost taxpayers 30-50K per year. Now multiply that by millions and you will see that they do not "do the jobs other people won't do." That's a line of horsepuckey.

Southern California has ceded most authority to the illegals. I have a friend there who has a teenage son. His son broke a leg, but instead of going to his local emergency room, he drove three hours to another hospital because the local hospital is always clogged with illegals receiving free health care. Everyone has free health care in the US thanks to the Hill Burton Act and that includes illegals. By law, they do not need to fully identify themselves in order to receive emergency care, which includes anything a person believes to be an emergency. In short, illegals are gaming our system and making all of us less safe.
Better to die a free man than to live as a slave.

We'll just have to agree to disagree here. She was aiding criminals in the commission of a crime. Whether or not her intent was "pure" the simple fact is she KNEW they were breaking the law, and she consciously and willingly HELPED them break the law. Were this ANY other crime, she would be going to jail for aiding and abetting.

Illegal immigration has been a huge issue in Northern Virginia/DC metro region for many years now. MS-13 gang members are a serious problem. The business of creating illegal identification, fake papers, etc is making some heavy money, busts all the time for such stuff.

It has spread to other areas like Western Maryland, Shenandoah valley, Richmond, etc..

Indeed, DO, an "ex-friend" of mine was executed in his own house by some MS-13 thugs in La Plata (just south of Waldorf) a few years back. I say "ex-friend" because once he got into the drugs, he refused to quit. All of his old friends finally had to realize that we had to back off, or go down with him. It wasn't even 2 years later and he was executed in a drug related incident. Another bartender-friend of mine (we were friendly while he was working, not buddies outside of work) working at Bennigans in Waldorf was also executed when he had to kick a couple of them out because they were drunk and belligerent. My understanding is that those two were never caught. Needless to say, I had to move away from Waldorf.

MS-13 has even infiltrated the rural Ozarks. DH is a police detective in a town of less than 3000, in NW Arkansas and they are here. Right now, they are keeping a pretty low profile... but, that won't last forever.

We have been invaded by a foreign hostile people. When I was still a LEO, I arrested a lot of young, very angry hispanic men. Frequently, on the ride to the county jail, they would talk about the brown people rising up and "slitting" our throats.

Javin, I very sorry to hear about your experiences! Sadly, dealing with these thugs is becoming all to commonplace. I have many relatives and friends who live there and are surrounded by some these criminals. I can remember having to go to school with some of these thugs, it is later reported that Arlington county had manufactured illegal students records to fit these thugs into lower grads. An example was when a 14 year old was like in the 5th or 6th grade. It happen, lots of Central Americans found their way there. So I know how bad it is with these people. MS-13 has been found by the 100's in the Shenandoah valley, next to places like Eastern Mennonite University!! Terrible. MS-13 has an army in Virginia and Maryland..

Additionally, there are a whole host of other gangs and just plain illegal thugs in Northern VA alone. There was a terrible accident last year when a group of nuns were killed by an illegal from somewhere in Central America, one of those poor nuns died.. Terrible!

MustagGal, that is incredible that they found their way down to Arkansas.. I have no doubt working with those savages in a policing capacity is a nightmare, Northern Virginia has so many in all the counties it is crazy, they will need more jails to attend to this.

Sadly, there are a lot of people who come from some of the other areas of the country and think of the wonders of the D.C area.. Many of them are liberal in their outlook and just do not understand what it is all about out there. I am a good sized guy but would not be out on much of the streets past sunset in NOVA past sunset, Mclean included, without a CCW authorized firearm. Now downtown D.C and P.G county have been warzones for years. But a lot none informed people end up in serious problems.
