With an EMP all those guys with EOtech sights on their AR's and no back up irons, I know thoes who prepare with non electric back ups are going to win that gun fight.
When an emergency is upon you the time for preparation has past.

If you look at this years last winter and current summer, you will notice a disturbing trend. Whether it is global warming or global cooling, things are a little different with the weather in the last few years. A EMP detonated at either time, could wipe a lot of people out in a big hurry.

I would think the Eotech sights in a heavy gun safe would be ok after a EMP.

They might but I carry mine, so I'd be hosed.

Actually, I think it's pretty funny they intend to use it against US carriers. Most of the military's heavy equipment like carriers and such have been hardened against EMP for decades. A few well-placed "radio valves" pretty well protects most things like that. On the other hand, not THAT many years ago, a US vessel, the USS Yorktown, was crippled by Windows NT when a sailor input the wrong data in the computer. It was left "dead in the water" for hours. Maybe the Chinese should just sabotage our technology... oops, they already did that too.
