I recieved my prizes and all I can say is WOW! My wife was more excited than i was about the large medical kit. She tore thru it before i even got a chance LOL. This will go a long ways to keeping my family safe and ready. I appreciate it! I actually carried one of these in the Army for my Platoon, stocked a little different but basically the same kit. I have some additional items that will go in there and this will be onboard during any major trips. The smaller kit will always be on my GMHB and hopefully never be used! LOL but knowing me and my outdoor adventures, well there's a S&P video in the future i'm sure.Knowledge is Power, Practiced Knowledge is Strength, Tested Knowledge is Confidence

Well had to use the blowout kit tonight. My daughter cut her finger at work with a knife. All is well, but it was real nice being able to grab that out of the bag and patch while the wife drove to the dr. Sure is good having these kits where everything is there and you know where that is. I just applied a portion of the padded gauze, cut with the siccors and some tape along with direct pressure and had the bleeding stopped before they even saw us.Knowledge is Power, Practiced Knowledge is Strength, Tested Knowledge is Confidence

Sorry to hear that your daughter got injured, but glad that you had the equipment and knowledge to effectively use the gear.

I was pretty proud of her too apparently they dont have an aid kit at work (I will solve that) when we met she had already wrapped it in paper towel and duct tape and was using compression. She laughed and said yeah "some of the family weirdness paid off" LOL I said "thats funny cause I think it's weird not to know first aid because at many points in your life you WILL use it". It sunk in. She said the other teen boy was running around freaking out screaming "what do we do?" Gonna get around and go get a new absorbency pad and some more tape this morning and replace it.Originally posted by tech View PostSorry to hear that your daughter got injured, but glad that you had the equipment and knowledge to effectively use the gear.

My wife is crazy when it comes to daughter having bleeding cuts. If it would have been us, I would have been elevating and applying direct pressure and the whole way to the ER wife would be yelling "USE THE QUIKCLOT, USE THE FREAKING QUIKCLOT!" LOL
Glad to hear she is OK Matt.
