Maybe the guy was normal, but he watched too much of that type of crap on T.V. and finally lost it. Just Kidding. He sounds like a wacko. But it really does get old. The left causes the problems, turns around and blames the problems on the right, and thus, pushes for solutions, which perpetuate the problems, all while pointing at the solution and calling it the problem. I know they don't cause all the problems. It is really sickening to realize how many people buy in to this crap. The only upside of the upcoming economic and societal collapse: A large die off of these morons. You have idiots like this guy who goes off and shoots these people. You have idiots that have no ability to reason or use rational thinking, and they push for gun control, which only makes it worse. Then you have politicians and the media, who know better. They realize that gun control isn't the solution, but that gun control is still needed in order to achieve population control. So they jump at the chance to put out more and more B.S. about gun control, while managing to bad mouth totally unrelated people and groups, like Palin and the Tea Party, for good measure. These people are stunningly and amazing full of s**t. And they would not have a news network if there were,'t millions of lemmings out there lapping the garbage up, and running with it-right off the cliff. I honestly don't know what is worse, that this happened and there are these innocent people dead, or that we have regressed as a society to the point where we have this media commentary and coverage about it.

Bull-
The other thing is too- no more bad TV or this silly talking heads either ;)
But all in all, there is some issues with the whole "how he got a gun". In time, depending on when SHTF, I see people who may need a license to buy a weapon. This license will basically be a state certified document that you have no mental illnesses. I just wonder sometimes what will happen next."Fate rarely calls upon us at a moment of our choosing"- Optimus Prime

It can make a lot of sense to have that kind of check of people, but when you put that in the hands of government it is going to get all screwed up. There are plenty of people who have had mental problems, but get over them. Hell, imagine a woman getting raped, or a man who's wife or child was murdered. There are all kinds of other examples, but I mean, can you imagine the mental and emotional roller coaster you would go through when dealing with some traumatic situation? You could get over it eventually and be fine to carry a gun, but my point is that there are a ton of examples of how government could make some determination about you, and then you're screwed, and caught in all kinds of red tape to ever get your right's to a gun back. They look at the year or years of "mental health counseling" you underwent, and the antidepressants you were prescribed, and determine you're a risk; no gun for you. Look at airports-10 year olds are strip searched. There may be a way to come up with a real great system for checking that, but with the clowns in office these days, it would surely be horrible. You need a lot better class of individuals to really weigh all the possibilities and come up with that kind of legislation, or it will surely cause unjustified problems. Then, what if someone gets a gun and is fine, then they go crazy? Also, you have some folks that are just completely out to lunch mentally, but have real, solid morals and values, so they would never use a gun in an ill manner, even though they are "crazy" in other respects. It's definitely a complicated issue. I think we all agree that we want to keep guns away from bad people. The problem is, who decides?Last edited by Bull; 01-10-2011, 03:55 PM.
