i've got lots of outside projects on my "list" right now..
frequently, i change shirts twice or even 3 times a day.
so, here's the question. a what if!
what if, you/i/we/they live in south flagabama and do not have a big cool blowing breeze off the water 24 hours a day,
and the shtf and no mo electricity running down the wires. it's 90 + degrees hot and humid.
and you've prepped for this by installing a nice big hvac unit and a generator that will run the big wonderful air conditioner and right beside the hvac is a big ole tank full of fuel that will keep the generator going. everyone is nearbout dying from the heat in 2023 but not you/me/us/they because we got us a big ole a/c and its running off the generator/fuel combo.
you've got 2 freezers full of groceries and your crew is set...
you've kept it quiet about your preps... your house is 1/4 mile from the road and no one can hear your generator
you are smarter than the average bear and know that you don't have to run your generator 24 hours a day.
lets just call it 10 hours a day.
i checked on some numbers.
it looks like 3 gallons per hour is a nice average x 10 hours per day... shoot... that is nothing cause you got a big ole 1000 gallon tank. and it is chock full of fuel... time to be a little prideful at your prepping!! right?
no electricity from the grid, and you and yours are set!! yahoo..
then the gen starts sputtering and the little wife, comes running out to the barn. "honey, i've got that chicken in the oven, and the lights went out... the stove shut down!! and the dryer still has wet clothes in it! your gotta fix all that right away." and all this happens before summer 2023 is over! the numbers show 1000 divided by 30 = 33..
whatcha gonna do?
solar?
get more fuel tanks?
move to the mountains where it is cooler!
you called the propane dealers in town and only 1 had some fuel, but his trucks don't work. (actually, they were stolen) if you bring your tank from the grill he'll fill that for $100. or 1 silver dollar.
