pretty tuff huh lol.
so far ive cut my gas bill in over 1/2 . two fill ups 53$ combined for 8 days of travel vs the old silverado which would have run me 130 for 2 tanks!!
im averaging (per the lil cpu) 36-39 mpg on my commute, instant mpg is higher. i avg'd 39.9 on the way home today. thats only 1 gallon to get home.
now.. its a 2013 kia rio, 5 door. basic lx model. i wanted a standard and no thrills. this has it. imho its a better car than others in terms of bang for the buck,warranty etc, plus i get free life time oil changes..works for me lol
payments will save me 150$ alone vs my old gas bill, and by months end i'll know the full amount, but right now its looking promising!

down fall is storage room, but the rear seats both fold flat and the "trunk" area is big enough for 3.5 large alice rucks ....but not much else.

now off to find a cold air intake, new springs/struts, some 17 205/45's to get some grip and a cat back system so i can take on someones lil mitsu evo lmao!!

so far my 1st impressions...

1- road noise- typical of small base model cars. mostly on rough pavement besides that its on par with most other cars ive owned in the past.
2- ride, it was stiffer than what i expected,but i heard about that via car reviews. me, i dont mind it, feels sportier than it should.
3- handling- i havent went rallying or drifting yet soo.. lol. but it does well. on ramps to the interstate,, if you take the curve at 40 and to hard it'll do a lil floating.i did over correct dogding a flying traffic cone at 70+ mph, kicked myself for just not changing lanes, but the car didnt lean or get loose. it aint no corvette but it did ok. steering pretty tight, and brakes are great. it has 4 wheel disc brakes, something other sub compacts dont.
6- comfort/ease of use- its a base model but seats are good, i fit in them and im not a small dude. they could be 1-3 inches longer in the seat to support the legs more.plent of room, if mine had the telescoping steering wheel i could stretch out the legs more. so if your over 6-1 you have have some issue there. no issues on head room. came with a sirus/xm radio, cd/mp3 player with aux,ipod and usb connections. all audio and gauge cluster controls are on the steering wheel.
besides that the only "power" anything is the mirrors lol.
7- motor, lil noisy not bad, plenty of get up and go for a 1,6l . im still getting used to a 6 speed,vs a 4-5 that extra gear is wierd when searching/deciding which gear to down/upshift to.

over all thers a ton more of good stuff and some cons..but honestly for most cars in this class its a decent bargin vs the other more costly ones. whats funny is now all the dealers who didnt want to work on their price aka not come down from 4-6k over msrp...are calling me,, to see if i want their deal....and once told i purchased else where start asking why and how come......oh well. im saving gas..their sitting on inventory making zero...
