I just completed a new BOV for my youngest son. A 2003 Jeep Liberty 4 wheel drive. It is a great little vehicle and should do really well in 4 wheel drive as well. So far we have only had it in 2 wheel drive and around town after installing a new motor in it. I bought it from a local credit union with a bad engine.
It is my sons first vehicle as he just got his learners permit to drive. He was learning how to drive with my Supercab long bed turbo diesel pickup, so this is like driving a go kart for him.
I did notice it can get into places my pickup can not and and is much easier to park and drive around town. With a bug out bag in the back and in 4 wheel drive, it should be good to go for the winter and any extreme weather what he runs into.
Might have to find another one of these for his sister, as she is really eyeing his. She drives a standard 4 dr car and my oldest drives a Jeep Grand Cherokee.
