  • modern trap/cart

My wife and I have enough land to keep a horse. Lately I've been doodling with the idea of converting an old wrecked landrover into a two wheel cart that could be used on the roads today. Using tires and indicators, parts of the vehicle bed and frame etc. It might be worth having a vehicle for popping to the store or carrying wood etc that doesn't require petrol?
    Your thoughts...

There are several very good pamphlets on converting old vehicles to cart at this site: http://www.howtomakeeverything.com/CD3WD/INDEX.HTM .

Hope this gives you some ideas.

You may want to consider the weight factor in trying to convert it. i did an old unit to try and just make a trailer for my truck and it was too heavy to be of much real use. those body components carry a lot of weight. good luck. Hope it works.

You might look into a new buckboard wagon or some such. Talk to the Amish in your area, they have great advice on horse drawn things.
