common car problems with easy fixes

anyone have a major problem with there car that wasnt that major of a fix?
flat tires are top of the list with a few choices
-fix a flat
-someone mentioned "slime" in another thread
-plug the tire is also an easy fix
-spare tire (duh lol)

drive belts
your car/truck will over heat or lack most accessories like power steering
carrying a spare(s) will save the hardache.most dont require to much to put back on

anyone have any other ideas?

most newer cars ahve only that little crappy spare tire, make sure you get a real spare tire. In bad times you might be driving on it for a while
