  • CCI "Quiet-22" 22lr

Saw this at a Gander Mountain and figured it was akin to the decent subsonic .22 we used to find at gunshows. I couldn't remember the brand of that.

Well, this CCI "quiet-22" is NOT it.

It's neither quiet nor does it function in a semi auto pistol. Thankfully I only bought about 250 rounds.

Now the Gemtech subsonic seems to function pretty good. Definitely will buy some more of that.

Since 22 is starting to get back out in stores inventory, I thought it was good for folks to know this CCI "quiet-22" is definitely not a functional subsonic round.

Thanks for the heads-up. I also purchased some of the gun show subsonic .22 several years ago. In a bolt action 22, the firing pin noise was louder than the bullet noise. A great squirrel terminator.

Those are probably like the Aguila 22 Colibri that I bought years ago. They have now power and a 20 gr bullet. They just use the primer. They work good for rats and such without messing up your building or whatever.
