I have the experience of interacting with thousands of like minded folks over the last 30 years via the business.
Watching folks on the range, at classes, etc. and summarizing from the WHAAAAmbulance replies any time someone mentions utilizing four or five thousand rounds a year in training/practice.
You can boil down the overriding problem with "preppers" like this-
Less DQ (Dairy Queen) and more pew pew (training).
Cut back on the calories and exercise more and get out and train/practice more.
Recently attended another FOF tactics class up at MVT. I noticed the oldest guy there was active in EVERY engagement and some of the younger ones were not active in almost all of the engagements. Why? The older dude was IN GOOD SHAPE. The younger ones- one was a smoker, I could smell that he had been in a particular position HOURS LATER when it was my turn to hold that position- were not in good shape.
