Depends on whom I go with, their level of experience. Weather the range is private, or a club range, and how they allow you to fire. One thing I do every range visit is malfunction drills. You can do this at any range, even indoors. Load buddies magazines for them (have them load yours). Place snap-caps or dummy rounds in mags to represent a miss fire or malfunction. Also dont load the mag all the way, etc. Something the dummy round will also do is show you if you are flinching/pulling/ect. or not. I developed a flinch of Biblical proportions, and found out how much so like this.
I also shoot off hand/week side/non primary hand or whatever the buzzword of the month is... every visit as well.
I like to spend the day when I go to the range and always bring a case of ammo weather I shoot it or not, for rifle. Several hundred for pistol as well. Shotty never enough (need to get more time on it).
My typical visit starts off by meeting the guys for breakfast and fellowship (aka) catch up. Drive to range and unload vehicle (I always bring too much stuff) Go over all safety protocalls (where closest hospital is and directions,etc.). Dose anyone with medical condition.... Example on blood thinners or meds, etc. emergency contact numbers for everyone. The location of primary medical kit. Then discuss if anyone needs to sight in their optics and have them do so first. Then set a course of fire/training in motion. Do course of fire/training. break for lunch (usually cook dogs off back of Jeep) get back to it doing malfunction drills, then pull out the fun guns (not primaries) or new purchases, play a bit. Finally police range, leave it cleaner then when we got there. Call it a day and go out with buddies for dinner... discuss days events, laugh and cut up. Go home and Post pictures on internet.

Been limited to static line stuff here...but ill bring 2-500 for rifle and 150-200 pisto normally l. Do a lot of dry run stuff at the casa.for stuff ranges wont allow. Last range trip I spent most of the time helping a buddy (Guy from the hikes) get familiar with his new AK. I ran about 6 rifle mags and four pistol just to shake the dust off ...was more into helping him....Hey Petunia...you dropped your man pad!

It's a lot easier for me as one of my ranges is only 50 yards from the house. A couple times a week I usually go shoot something. Lately I have been mostly doing facing movement and ready up with the AR. I use the buzzer on my timer set on random to start the action with up to 3 targets. Also do a lot of timed draw and fire from a holster with a handgun. Usually only shoot 20-50 rds at a time.

Went the other day to zero a few weapons. Found out I needed to get some new glasses (ordered). The only thing I did well on was my long range stick and 15yd and under pistol. LR was because of the scope and pistols were because it the amount of shooting I've done in the past so it was more instinctual.
Live and learn. This getting old stuff sucks but I don't like the options. ;)
