I supported this kickstarter: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects...arpening-video
I got the video a little over a week ago.
We all have seen people shave their arm with their knife but usually that is done with the knife touching the skin (not cutting the skin). Patrick shows you how to make your knife sharp enough to cut the hair WITHOUT even touching your arm. I was impressed with that, I had never seen anything like that. He shows you other various testing methods with newspaper.
He shows you how to use Japanese water stones, sharpening serrated blades, curved blades (woodsman/kukri). He also shows you a low cost way using sand paper as well as mechanical. He covers maintenance of your knives as well.
